    Projected starters with salaries

    Luis Scola $3.1M
    Ron Artest $7.4M
    Yao Ming $15.1M
    Tracy McGrady $19.6M
    Rafer Alston $4.9M

    Supporting cast
    Shane Battier $6.3M
    Luther Head $1.9M
    Brent Barry $1.9M
    Aaron Brooks $1.0M
    Chuck Hayes $1.9M

Who do you think deserves more and who should get less?

I think Traci and Yao should give Luis Scola one million each. He should be gettign at least 5M this year.

Carl Landry is getting paid 3 million a year. Dorsey got signed and is getting paid very well for a 2nd round pick.

Can't blame athletes for wanting to get paid, but next time Tracy complains about not having the talent around him, he should take a look at his salary. And I hope the trend of the continual increase in free agent salaries stop. Teams need to realize money isn't gonna get them rings. I like how the Rockets organization is run. It would be tough to find one bad contract on the roster currently other than Francis.

first of all, tmac deserve less. tmac's jerseys selling brings tons of money to les, even so, tmac doesn't deserve more than 15m that his cousin VC gets per year. scola deserves more, I mean, much much more, at least he should get a little bit more than manu. and battier and ron deserve two or three millions more. while luther derserves less, at most the LLE he deserves.
les should pay more money to all the rockets except tmac and luther, but that would increase the team whole salary and push les in to the luxury tax which is a horrible thing to him.

Tmac should take a pay cut down to 14-15 million. =/ Too bad they can't renegotiate their contract.

I think we are getting Luis at a fair price. I consider him and Carl having the same effectiveness for this team. I'd like to see him take the next step and estabalish himself as a secondary weapon that teams have to pay attention to.

AB is still a draft paid player who hasn't proved anything yet, how is he under paid????

    Mike Harris????

Chuck Hayes doesnt have any offense to go with his great defense so he is only getting paid for his specialty.

Man, it blows my mind that Mike Harris makes like 15 years of my salary in just one year and I'm a professor. I like him, but I don't think I can feel sorry for any of these guys when they get cut anymore.

If yao keep[s choking in the playoffs and keeps being injurid, he would have to be put in the " overpaid" category.

That's funny because I guarantee if the Rockets don't resign him when the time comes another team will and it will be the same or more amount. Yes this is regardless if he keeps choking (??) or getting injured.

Whats that got to do with anything. if he keeps choking or be injured like he is every year, i sure hope another team signs him. for that much money, i want mr center to atleast be out there playing. not watching it from the sidelines or getting abused by boozer or okur.

Maybe if we learned that a 300 lb 7'6 guy cant play 37.2 minutes (most on the 07-08 Rockets team) a game. Someone who would give up the best or 2nd best center before thinking of any solution isn't too NBA bright. Play him less minutes and he is bound to be more healthy but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the plan this year either.

But you would rather face him with what? Your 6'11 and smaller centers?

And fyi, its not Boozer or Okur its Boozer AND Okur. One on one when the other is NOT on the court they wont dominate Yao. One lucky here or there sure. But when both are on the court is when they both target him and do dominate him due to our past weakness at the 4.

What about his inujries?. you bash mcgrady for allways being injured, but yao gets a free pass/. mcgrady supposedly choked to, but you have all the excuses for yao. you're no better then tmac-only-fans. since you're learly a yao-only-fan.

Why do people care about salaries so much....????

Just wins....wins, wins, wins....who cares how much Les has to pay them?
