I swear, everytime I see that ( Sean Corbin) he is going to do a Rockets game, I cringe....because it just seems we lose every game that he refs. I know there are a couple other refs, like that....I think Rush used to be really bad back in the day but he has toned down alot.

Wonder if there is a stat, for a teams record with a certain Ref.

If you can check that, you should check Bennett Salvatore too... IMO every time he plays he gives the Rockets, especially Yao, the short end of the stick, remember the Finley out-of-bounds play in Game 5 of the 2005 playoffs?

and then after that he called a foul when we trapped one of their players backcourt even though they didn't lay a hand on him

The single worst no-call I've ever seen. To top it off, this was right in the middle of the Van Gundy vs. Cuban vs. Stern incident, in which JVG was fined $100,000 for commenst he made regarding officiating- and he was absolutely correct. Officiating in the NBA has been terrible for several seasons, and will likely continue to get worse, largely because Stern refuses to hold officials accountable for their mistakes.

The no-call on DWade when his arm slapped around Battier's elbow was also an example of bad officiating against the Rockets. Unfortunately, almost everybody has been overwhelmed in the waves of sympathy (which is quite undeserved IMO) for DWade and missed the bigger picture.

Anytime you have an established system where starts are expected to "get calls", in my opinion, you are compromising the integrity of the game. You see it all the time with Wade, LeBron, Kobe etc, where an All Star drives in the lane, throws the ball up and gets a call. Its the most frustrating thing in the game. (For once I can sympathize with Mavs fans over the finals FT's debacle). Instead of worrying about what the balls are made of, maybe Stern should try to make sure his refs are using theirs.

You don't have to swear.. it's a known fact that Cuban blow the refs in order for the whistles to be blown their way.

There are so many calls Yao does not get..its horrible!
But hey, you cant rely on the officiating, if you have talent..which the rockets do, you can do it all.

You know, I thought earlier in the season Mcgrady wasnt getting the usual superstar calls and I thought maybe it was because of the comments he made about the finals. But this season even Kobe doesnt get the calls like he used to. It seems Wade was the only one getting them.

I recall in a recent LA Lakers game-the last one Yao played in against the Lakers- Bynum and the other big man had a hand on Yao the whole game- they would have fouled out in the 1st half-yet they selcom got called for a foul. Yao actually got in foul trouble in that game. There is definite double standard.

That's what all the calls you get for a Cuban blowjob. :) If he wants to win the Finals, he needs to hire women for the job next time.

Some of you were probably too young to remember or weren't really following the Rockets but the worst officiating done against the Rockets was back in the '95 playoffs against the Suns by Jake O'Donnell. His calls were atrocious - so bad that he wound up ejecting Clyde Drexler from one of the first 2 games. As it turned out, he never would officiate another game in the NBA (and of course there was a happy ending as we wound up winning that series on route to our 2nd straight NBA title).

As far as I know, Salvatore, Bavetta, etc., have never lost their jobs like Jake O'Donnell did.
