From BSKBall.com: HOUSTON- The Houston Rockets still have not heard much regarding Hakeem Olajuwon, they would like to return him but at far less than he made last year. Hakeem is said to want a 2 year deal at his market value which could be as high as $6-7 million. The Rockets have been unable to get an audience with Chris Webber and have shifted their focus of re-signing and returning their core team including Maurice Taylor who is telling calling teams he wants to wait out the Rockets. Shandon Anderson is also rumored to want to return, but he wants a deal in the $5 million range and some say he may not get that from Houston (or anyone else for that matter). There is talk that the Rockets will explore David Robinson now that talks have stalled with San Antonio. Robinson is expected to demand a 3 year deal worth $10 million per season or better and has openly talked with the Pistons. Should Hakeem not be signed, and Robinson return to SA, the Rockets have said they have no problem banking on the centers they have and running a smaller more potent offense. LOL! ------------------
was it? maybe, maybe no ------------------ Question about a Tree? Go to the 5th Ward and tell Daryle I sent you.
Well if Cato can get his act together (and thas a big IF), and if Collier can continue to work hard and develop (more likely to happen), then our center combo isnt bad at all. ------------------ its not the hours you put in your work that counts, it's the work you put in the hours - alaskansnowman
That may be the most depressing thread title I have ever seen. ------------------ I do not believe in god. And it is nice to know that I am going to hell with Hitler, and McVeigh. Although I do not know why.
I think that it would suck if the Rockets get left out in the cold totally as far as signing a center is concerned. If Dream goes, if Robinson deal is a bust, if some of the other free agents are gone, wow that could be bad.
