Rockets ranked 8th in 2002-2003 power poll

    I don't know if this has been posted already, but I just came across this on SportingNews.com. I know a power poll like this means nothing, but it's nice to see the Rockets getting a little respect. Although, ranking the Rockets as 6th best in the West may be a little too optimisic.

    First time I've seen it. I think ranking sixth in the entire NBA is a little bit of a reach. I would rank us somewhere between 12th and 15th.

    I just want to see us play...then it will be all good and the rankings will simply serve as a faint memory and amount to not much more than a hill of beans...:mad:

    They didn't rank us 6th in the league. We were eighth overall after NJ, Detroit and five West teams.

    Yeah I meant 8th. But even 8th is rather high I think.
