What happened to Jim Foley? I turned on the radio after the game and they were wishing him well after some type of surgery? I dont know if i heard correctly.... Will he be back after his surgery? Craig Ackerman must be the next guy in line to take over either Jim or Gene....he has a good voice. we'll see how he does in the month or so
I hope the Rockets get some real good playoff runs in before Gene retires. When the Rockets get their big wins, I want the audio to be posted on here. I have T-Mac's game 2 winner against Dallas and it's great to listen to from time-to-time.

Gene and Jim = Excellence Olaujuwon shakes,bakes,turns,fakes..... Its gonna be weird without jim foley, last yr in the beginning of the yr, gene had to miss some time, it was on a west coast trip, i think when t mac got hurt the 2nd time, and Craig Ackerman did play by play for like 7 games or so and he should stick with comets play by play, he sucked.
The one call of Gene's I remember most is a game against the Spurs where he was so pissed at a call, he just yelled "Bull****" at the call live/on the air. Then he apologized to the audience for his language. I could've sworn whoever was doing the broadcast with him later said something along the lines of "that's ok, Gene, I can understand". I can't remember if that was Foley or not. I was laughing so hard, I nearly drove off the road when I heard that exchange.
I think Foley's best moment was when the Rockets won game 7 in the 94 Finals, I think it was " Houston the Eagle has landed!!" not very original but for some reason I remember it because of the mixture of joy and relief in his voice. Gene is the man, I still remember the time I asked him if he would say hello to my family for me on air. It was in Chicago 1995 and the Rockets were playing on Hakeems Birthday. He didn't blink an eye and said just write your name and it's done.
Anyone have the one where the clock started late at the end of the game - what was it? - Game 5 vs the Jazz in the 95 playoffs? Gene and Jim absolutely flip out. It always put me in tears.
