I know this may be a ridiculous suggestion but:

    - How bout have Posey seriously work on his handles/shooting to where he can be the starting SG.

    - Start Rice at the SF and bring Cat off the bench.

    - Have Boki back up Rice.

    - Trade EG and Mooch for a bag of basketballs.

    - Have Cato develop a jump hook (aka MoT) so he can move to starting PF with Yao and have Taylor and Collier back them up.

    Next year's lineup/rotation

    SF/Cat
    Posey/Cat/Hawk
    Rice/Boki/Posey
    Cato/MoT/TMo
    Yao/Collier or Cato

This lineup running in next year's 'motion offense' should net us around 47-48 wins minimum and a playoff berth.

    Uhhh...

The team we have right now will win a minimum of 47-48 games next season too.

    No difference.

I'd rather have Mobley start instead of Posey unless he starts shooting like Peja Stojakovic.

    Good ideas though. :)

The main reason why I want Posey starting is because Cat and SF are redundant and shouldn't be on the court at the same time if possible. Also at 6"8' Posey can get a hand in opposing SG guards faces and bother their shots.

Your right about giving Mooch and EG away. I'd trade them for a decent backup PG and/or some draft picks.

You know,I just thought of something. boki is going to want to play next year, but rice is still on the roster, and morris is playing GREAT with his improved shooting. Where does that leave posey?

No matter which way you spin it,the org will have to decide soon ,who is their starting sg for the next decade. Posey or Cat? I chose Posey. Unless seattle offers barry for him. or odom or a true big point guard and move steve to sg,and dump cat. So many questions.

Either way,cat looks to be gone. If steve is a sg,then cat is traded. If posey stays(like he should) cat is traded. I doubt the team will trade boki instead of cat.

I think the best lineup this team can put on the court next year would be to trade cat/grif for brand. And resign morris and posey.

steve/posey/morris/brand/ming. Posey will be our new maxwell. Brand will be our thorpe. Steve will be our cassell. Morris will be our horry.(yes, morris appears more like horry than grif). Ming is well, you know.:)

    Humm? steve=cassell,posey=maxwell,morris=horry,brand=thorpe,ming=hakeem

This team does not need drastic changes.

Try trading Cato and something for Brian Grant. Even though Cato was a bright spot this year, Grant would fit the team a little better. He is a thug who can shoot.

Then sign Wesley Person with midlevel exception. Shooters baby. This team needs shooters and I promise most of the problems would just vanish.

    Ming/Grant
    Maurice/Eddie
    Boki/Rice
    Cat/Person
    Francis/Moochie

I don't care that much for Posey. We need someone like Person who can shoot lights out from behind the arc.

As long as Griffin improves on defense and we can get some kind of defensive production from the PG position, this team should be fine. As is, the SG, SF, and C positions are fine. Steve is good on offense and Griffin is very young and has room for improvement. My advice to the Rockets would be either to stand pat, or trade Steve for an impact PF.

Trading away Francis I don't believe would be a good idea. He is the best slasher on the team. Then again...we should compare Steve Francis and Bobby Jackson. Geez...Jackson...dammit...now i'm mad.:D
