I know we beat this thing in the head, but let's look at the current situation in the "Big Picture".

David Aldridge is reporting that Seattle will commit more minutes to Luke. He also stated Antonio Daniels will be gone. It could be speculation, but David really knows the NBA and has great sources.

Cleveland might have a pg controversy with Snow and McInnis.
Jeff's contract is for 3 million for this year. Cleveland may be scared that Jeff could bolt like Boozer, and the Cavs are left with nothing again. They also need a power forward.

Miami already signed their backup point guard. Damon and Mike are still available. What team is going to grab them?

What are the Clippers going to do with Jaric? They've had the same team for years and are still losing. Jaric's contract is up soon. Will the Clippers start Mini Magic or hand over the duties to another vet to tutor Livingston?

The Rockets have waited, and it may really payoff for them. WHat are your thoughts? :D :)

that was pretty well put into perspective.

no i wouldn't trade Mo in the deal with antonio daniels. If we get an overpaid center back, we might as well just keep Mo for instant offense and sign a scrub center. Now spoon is another story :)

I like the idea of Jaric, but I just don't know of anything that we have that would interest the Clippers enough to make that trade.

I'd like to deal Taylor in a 3 way S&T for Daniels and a defensive 4.
That being said,Mo's real value lies in the East.
My take is that CD and gang are having their pick, pretty much.Players want to be here.No tax, chance to play with Yao and TMac(titles, plural),etc. We are going to end up witha helluva team in a couple years..big window!

If we can get Mo Tay for Antonio Daniels, I'm all for it. He's cheap. I just wonder what else has to come in the deal in order to make it work cap wise.

Slick Rick - I like the optimism, but I can't see the Clippers dealing Marko Jaric without getting a point guard somewhere. Jaric is the starter and Livingston the backup. They let Keyon Dooling go for that reason ... I can't see them parting with Jaric right now.

Not only that, but I dont see Jaric as being a JVG type guy. If JVG wont play Nachbar because of his defense then why would he play Jaric? Jaric is a nice player and I like his 6'7" height, but I dont see him as a JVG type guy. Just doesnt seem gritty enough.

I think you are right, but you never know. Jaric could be good for the Clips but bad for the Rox.

Are you saying Jaric sucks on defense? He's very good on defense. He hustles and works hard. Admittedly though when I've seen him I always seem to see him guarding a guy more his size, not a traditional point guard, so maybe that's a concern, but he certainly works hard at least.

he is looking for a more talented PG. we are looking for a less talented PG. jaric would be a good fit in jvg system because he can only do a few things, so he plays within himself.

unlike steve who thought he was superman, and allways tried to do more than he could.

I really CD should be working hard to acquire McInnis. He's always been a low turnover guy, and though he isn't a scorer he can score. Just what we need, I think. He's a so-so defender, but not a liability from what I've seen.

There are some questions about his character that concern me, but I don't think they're all that serious. It didn't look like he had any problems in Cleveland.

I like the idea of Jaric. He does a little bit of everything. What worries me is he seems a little bit injury prone. He's missed 40 games the last two seasons. I also don't know if he can guard PGs. He has length and does a good job of getting steals, but he can't keep up with a lot of the quicker guys in the leage.

MoT strait up for AD + any of Seattle excess centers (Booth, James, Penko) works salary wise.

i noticed hinrich hasn't been mentioned? is there any chance the bulls might give him up? i know they've been trying to get rid of jerome williams' contract. this would work, but would they pull the trigger?

    mo t + TE + 1st rounder
    for
    kirk hinrich + jerome williams

1, you can't combine TE into a multiple player deal
    2. get rid of JW for an even worse contract? Paxson is not a Layden twin

I think we will trade MoT to Seattle for ADaniels and a backup C (not Jerome James because hes a starter) most likely Booth..

that would help both teams more even though I dont want to lose MoT since he is finally healthy and could have a break out year.

I would rather move him East where he would have more opportunites and we could fill in gaps without benefitting our conference rivals.

A trade with Cleveland would be ideal MoT for McInnis/Battie they have so many PG's now.. expensive PG's in Snow, McGinnis, Ollie..

they need to make some moves.

Mo T at 9m is a big waste.

Bulls is high on Hinirich. Getting him for anything less than a star
    is a pipe dream.
