Seeing this pitiful game made me realize just how empty the Rockets are without 34 in the middle. Maybe Hakeem doesn't jump up and down, and scream in the refs' faces, but Hakeem has always been the heart of the Rockets. This is probably my last year of seriously following the team, so please Rockets, don't trade the dream. I just want to enjoy his final season. Please. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
I completely agree. The jazz destroyed us, due to our lack of anything in the middle. We need interior defense and rebounding and without it we look like sh*t. I can't beleive the team was even in the game at the end of 48 minutes. With Hakeem in the game, we would have won this game. Thats how I feel. The team lacks agression and played as if they didn't care about winning this game. We need to go on a winning streak soon if we want to make the playoffs, and that isnt going to happen without rebounding, passing and interior defense. We can't win by matching point for point. This game really pissed me off! ------------------
While y'all are right that having a healthy Hakeem would probably have won the game for the Rockets, y'all are overlooking the fact that having any healthy decent center would have probably won the game for the Rockets. It is too much to expect For Taylor, Thomas and Bullard to handle the center position duties on a consistent basis. ------------------
YAMAS, Can I offer you a positive spin? We took Utah to overtime with no centers and only 2 power forwards. For godsakes, if we "lacked aggression and played as if we didn't care about winning", we would have been crushed!!! Damn guys, we played with a tremendous amount of heart. Mo' and KT got in foul trouble with not backup reserves. They had to lighten up their D to not foul out. YAMAS, how in the hell could that game "piss you off". No centers and only 2 PFs. What do you expect?
