^highly unlikely scenario. there's no way the pistons trade lindsey hunter at this point in his career. mcdyess has been playing great, and their chemistry has been really good since getting c-web, why mix things up now? and you're underestimating the value of bonzi. he will play big in the playoffs, as that will set the tone for his contract situation for next year and beyond.
I really would hate to see us get rid of Bonzi, i think he will be an important part coming down the strech and into the playoffs
That works out if you don't consider both teams. There's no way the Pistons would make that trade with us. They don't need to. They don't need another PF, they have good chemistry right now, and you're underestimating Bonzi. He still has 2 months to really round into shape before the playoffs, that is when he will be big. Like any other trade idea, it's pretty good, but it just won't happen.
the Pistons are playing fantastic ever since the emergence of C Webb in that offense; I don't think they want to shake things up again with another trade (or signing)... isn't it eerily similar to the year they got Rasheed and they started playing great and then won the championship...
don't forget how bad mcdyess wanted to come here before detroit signed him a couple of years ago, he lives in the area and was practically begging the rox to sign him and they didn't really pursue it
go figure, after a loss, i knew i would count on one douchebag trying to come up with their version of a good trade idea.
How bout we make a move for Mike Bibby via Detroit: Sacramento Outgoing: Mike Bibby Vitaly Potapenko Sacramento Incoming: Rafer Alston Vassili Spanoulis Antonio McDyess Houston TE Houston Outgoing: Rafer Alston Vassili Spanoulis Bobby Sura Bonzi Wells Houston TE Houston Incoming: Mike Bibby Vitaly Potapenko Detroit Outgoing: Antonio McDyess Detroit Incoming: Bobby Sura Bonzi Wells
No way this would ever happen. The Pistons are not in rebuilding mode; they'd be trading 2 1/2 productive players (Nazr is the 1/2). With C-Webb, they're doing great right now. They wouldn't trade what they've got for a bushel basket. Why so much trade talk? Look, when you've got something that works, don't screw it up needlessly. I can understand offloading Bonzi (who may be very talented and a great player but one who hasn't produced since he's been here) and some of our scrubs and Sura. But how many teams will REALLY want to latch onto that? We can't even use our trade exception.
u need to calm that hell down and check that... i have just as much faith in are line-up as any one... but i do see it has room to improve, if u think its just cause we lost you are and idiot, it was just and idea i had...
I actually think this is a trade the Pistons would consider (amazing, a trade thread that I'm not bashing on the "why would the other team do it?" idea) But I would hate for the Rockets to do it!! Lots of reasons, but Juwan is just as productive as McDyess. McDyess is shooting a pretty bad %age this year if I remember right. So we improve on rebounding/defense and lose on offense. Bonzi is a lot better than Hunter. Hunter would help out our backup PG short-term (not a long term solution obviously), so we'd have the problem next year. And the way Snyder's been of late, we'd have no depth at the 3 spot. Plus we lose Bonzi's potential to propel us to the next level once the rotation is where it should be and everyone's healthy. Mohammed is a solid addition as a backup C for the next # of years after Mutombo is gone. But it looks like we have another year of Deke, so we might be good to wait another year for a different solution. It's not urgent enough for this to change my outlook on the deal
Are you serious. Damon Jones sucks. I wouldnt trade V-span alone for him much less throw in Bonzi as well. There is no reason to bring anyone in who can not play defense cuz JVG will not play him and Damon Jones is one of the worst defenders in the league. Plus he is a small guard who plays even smaller. That leaves us Rafer, Head, JL3 and him the backcourt. High school teams are bigger then that.
i think he just wants to get a rise out of someone, no one who even remotely follows the NBA would do this...or it could be Tina Thompson logged in under that handle...
