I didn't see anyone post this yet, so pardon me if I missed the thread.. It's confirmed that the rockets will draft at #5 and #15 (from Toronto, Indiana won the tie-break) Assuming we maintain those draft positions, and making second guesses about who will be available then (Ming is #1 I think), who would you take? I'd like to think Jason Williams on this team, but he might go #2. Then again, wierder trades and picks have occured on draft night. I'm not going to give names but: #5: Draft the best 5 available #15: Draft a 3/4 to replace Langhi/Collier
I would take a reliable 3/4 with the 5th pick instead of a center since it's likely that either Borchardt, Marcus, and maybe even Ely will be available at 15. You gotta jump on guys like Butler and Wilcox before someone else does. I think Cato will be fine for next year at the 5 and we just need to bring in some athleticism and some defense. (read athleticism+defense=Butler)
It was in an article on Yahoo; I posted it over in the main forum (probably near the same time as this, so if it's redundant, I apologize). All of the tiebreakers were broken today.
It was confirmed today that the Rockets will pick 15th with Toronto's pick, but not 5th. With the Rockets' own pick, they could pick 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 or 8. We won't know until the draft lottery is held.
