What do you guys think about the Rockets game broadcast on UPN20 in Houston? What do you think about the halftime and postgame shows with Lisa Malosky?
Bill and C-Murph are always gonna be my favorite broadcasters. Lisa Malosky is ok, but I never watch the postgame shows because they usually have Mike Newlin and he has some kind of speech impediment that makes him hard to follow at times. Well, let's think of some alternatives: Bill Walton? (Shiver going down back) Bob Costas? (Shiver) NBC's stale studio crew? (Shiver) WGN's crew (Bulls' games)? (Shiver) Bill & Murph are the most entertaining duo in the league. As far as Lisa, she's good, but if they could get TNT's/TBS's crew (Kenny, Charles, etc.) that would be sweet! ------------------

I like Bob Costas! I don't like Lisa Malosky, I always avoid the halftime show b/c she just annoys the hell out of me. Bill and Calvin are alright, they get kind of old though when they start talking about cookies and singing. ------------------ Cause I'm a twenty first century digital boy. The greatest show on earth. B&C are better than Kenny and Charles because you get them for 2 1/2 hours! I like Lisa, but my friends claim she has too many teeth. Doesn't she work for NBC on the weekends and playoffs? ------------------ Kenny Thomas had a foul called on him in the Western Conference Finals.
Lisa used to work for NBC, in fact last year she did a WNBA game in which is was the first all-female anchor/reporter event. I like Bill, he does really good color play. Calvin's suits are crazy though, but he knows basketball. The reception on The Tube (Channel 55) was awful, so a change to UPN20 was welcomed. ------------------

I like Bill and Calvin...they really are great...but Lisa Malowsky is not easy to look at. She has the worst horse face Ive ever seen. Anybody notice how when she gets excited she talks out of the corner of her mouth like Mr. Ed did? She always get tongue tied too....shes a terrible broadcaster. ------------------
I think Bill and Calvin are fine, but hardly a Billy Packer and Al Maquire level combo. Bill is solid (and must have the patience of a saint to deal with Calvin all these years). Calvin has improved. I used to think he was the most annoying person in the history of the world during the Rockets championship years. Every Hakeem block would inevitably include a screeching Calvin tallying up "another $50 for the Calvin Murphy Youth Foundation!" because, that, of course, is the focus of the game, not the block itself... I wanted to have one of Calvin's batons stuck in a strategic location to shut his yabbering up. He has toned down a bit and actually has some interesting insights about basketball now and then. I think all you Seinfeld watchers out there would appreciate that my friends & I like to refer to Lisa Maloski as "Man Hands." Bill & Calvin rule, but why do we refer to them as Bill & Calvin and not Calvin & Bill ... or at least refer to Calvin by his proper name -- Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy. Bill and Calvin are the most entertaing...I watch the Rockets on directv's league pass and many of their road games are broadcast by the opposing team's commentators...most of them are very boring, one of the worst was Golden State. ------------------
I think the interview with Matt Bullard on last nights game was great, he really speaks well into the camera. I wonder if the games will be on 20 next year or back on The Tube. Calvin is crazy and obnoxious, but he knows basketball. Dominique Saches would be awesome. ------------------
Why do all you guys wanna make fun of Lisa and call her a horse-face? She might well read cc.net... She's a decent sports reporter. Decent enough for NBC to borrow occassionally. She's not horse-faced. Compared to Melissa Stark, sure, she's not that hot, but she's better looking than most of the women in my office.
