Sweet! I was hoping we'd re-sign Deke.

 

I'm kind of surprised to see we're resigning Deke. I love him and all, but I just didn't see him as an Adelman type guy. He can't pass or shoot.

The blurb only says Hayes got a qualifying offer...which we already knew. It does not say an offer has been made to Deke.

 

Good to see Deke comeing back. No problems, no questions about roll, just go out there and keep 'em out of the paint.

 

and to top all of that off, they have a picture of Deke in a Nets uniform. Great reporting, yahoo! and great misleading thread!

 

You may want to indicate that this article comes from an NBA Rumors page... But I hope it ends up being verified!

 

I'm glad they will, hopefully, get both of them back.

Still need one more power forward, and then they're set. Obviously no small task...

This will be Mutombo's fourth year as a Rocket? That Piatkowsi- Mutombo trade worked out pretty well.

It didn't say that they had offered Deke a contract or that they will definately sign Chuck.

Just that they would like both back, which we sort of figured.

 

The minimum for Mutombo is about $1,220,000. He should accept that and in that case he should be brought back if he does accept it.

 

i'm happy about Chuck..but not sure about Deke...I think Jake Tsakalidis could handle back up minutes for yao.....Deke is another year older and slower..he looked lost out there sometimes...but if he can grab those rebounds and throw a few elbows..why not.....
