A league source said Lin will be offered a contract today — maybe in the $30 million range — in a back-loaded nature similar to the one the Rockets offered Bulls big man Omir Asik. Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/knick_ed_bruised_Z9vITjnrrI9TLHVAt0ETSP#ixzz1zfKXupMf

The players won't be complaining. They get a huge payday now from teams that are willing to overpay to pry them away from other teams.
man if we just hadnt let him go.......we probably would have gotten him for under 3 mil a year.....................................................
Hard to tell if this is legit since the Rockets have not yet spoken to Lin face to face. Looks like "the source" might just be guessing based upon the Asik offer.
Basically 5 y1, 5 y2, 10 y3, and 10 y4? Take that NY! Match it and be financially screwed in 2014! Abusing the Gilbert Arenas Clause ftw!
True, but he might be worth it. I understand this is the Rockets backup plan, but dang, does Morey strike out on every big at bat? Seems we are always settling for the 2nd tier players, and what is the point of that? Just develop the young 4 this year and go from there, no need to add any veteran role players. Lin is not as good as Dragic - so we are downgrading a bit, but at least the Toyota center will be full. Seems the Rockets organization has their eye on the $$$ and not the trophy.
