ESPN just released new power rankings. Rockets moved all the way to number 14. http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings/index.html ------------------
OK, Rockets fans, here's your big jump. Now can you catch the Wolves or Mavs? Made it seem like they threw us there because of the whining. Rockets have a mission to catch mavs and wolves! " BELIEVE " ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
I think 14 is about right... Can't complain at all... ------------------ "There are three kinds of lies: Lies, Damned Lies, and STATISTICS..." - Mark Twain -
So ESPN you finally admit that Rockets deserve better. Is it just that you guys are slow. Wolves Title contender - come on.... ------------------ We can reach our destination, but it's still a ways away.
Just caught this from NBAtalk's power rankings: 12. Houston Rockets (3-1) 30-27 16 Gots to respect them for not pulling a Pat Ewing on Olajuwon. ---------------- True, So true. ------------------ Charles Barkley on TBS on the "fat track" poll: "What? 47% said I'd gain more.....why those.....they better be glad this is a family show."
More accurate ranking - but still crap comments...I mean, that's pretty bad if they only discover the Rockets should be moved up because Rocket fans palyed the role of the squeeky wheel. I'll only forgive them when they appologize for ragging on Dream and Shandon.. So, you're getting better ESPN, but still pretty dang clueless... ------------------ "Segregation is an absolutely horrid practice - except when it comes to numbers and letters. I just don't think they should be mixed." - P. Mesku on his dislike of algebra
A 14th place from ESPN is pretty much a blessing: ESPN doesn't even like the Rox. Typically, if we should be at #16, we stand at 14. If we should be #12, our #9 standing will make no difference. The 'SternLeague' will stand against us anyway... The NBA hates anyone who upsets their 'balance'. Houston teams regularly thrash the balance concept around for fun... One more reason I love H-Ball... ------------------
