Scola hobbled With Luis Scola sitting out both practices and Thursday's game since turning his right ankle Monday, the Rockets hoped to make up for lost time Friday. He played 21 minutes but by the third quarter was moving poorly enough for Rockets coach Rick Adelman to pull him early. “He said he was OK, but he was not moving well in that third quarter,” Adelman said. “That is a concern. He's got to get that healthy. “You know Luis. He's going to say he's OK.” “Nothing really happened,” said Scola, who had nine points and 10 rebounds. “It was hurting a little bit. I was running a little funny, so the coach took me out. ” A happy Pacer Luther Head was not waiting for the Rockets specifically. A sore back had kept him out of the Pacers' two-game Asian road trip. And if anything, he said he specifically did not want to look forward to playing his former team. “I really didn't want to go out and do too much,” said Head, who spent most of his first three seasons with the Rockets before he was released last season. “I wanted to let the game come to me because every time I think about going out there and trying to do something, I mess up trying too hard instead of letting it happen. I think that was why it worked, letting it happen.” Head made six of his eight shots, scoring 13 points in 29 minutes, adding seven rebounds. In his other appearance of the preseason, he made five of seven shots, scoring 14 points in 27 minutes. In both, he seemed to fit well with the Pacers' determination to run, spread the floor and take early, open shots. “I liked it,” Head said of the Pacers' style. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6672074.html dingaaa

As long as we have Scola we can be decent but if he goes down so does our only post option and probably best creator on the team. Let the man get healthy.
Scola has such a great opportunity this year to grow and become a solid contributor on the offense end, Rockets need to be careful.
Well he did play international games this summer. But I agree we should probably sit Scola for the next preseason game so that he can heal up. If we don't have Scola our lack of height issue just gets worst as Landry is a talented but undersized PF and the guys behind him not counting Hayes are question marks in productivity.
Scola is faking it, he just wants to give the rookies some playing time. He knows that RA is gonna play the hell out of him if he's available.
Preseason is important you have to get a feel for the players around you. We don't want them to start getting to know each other in the regular season. He has to play some for goodness sake its just an ankle. He wasn't playing with a broken foot. Rick did the right thing pulling him from the game the instant he saw there was something off.
Come on Luis, keep playing on that tender ankle, break it before the season starts, so we can have more ping pong balls please
I wish these guys didnt play EVERY summer for their countries. I understyand national pride, given the chance I would love to represent the USA, but come on, these guys are paid MILLIONS to play here. I know we can around in circles over this, but these countries need to give it a break
