I live in College Station, it is about 80 miles from Houston. I used to get Rocket games on Fox Sports Southwest, but now they are on channel 51. College Station does not have access to that channel, so does anyone know if they will be on over here in College Station? We get all the Texans and Astro games, but I am not sure about the Rocket games.

All broadcasts of the Rockets beyond a 35 mile radius around the city of Houston are handled ONLY by the NBA. The Rockets have zero control over when, if and how they get broadcast beyond that, so you'd have to talk to FSSW, your cable or satellite provider or the NBA.

I went to Best Buy yesterday trying to address the same problem. They have no idea how I can pick up Channel 51 Houston.

It was pretty awesome two years ago when I was at the University Tower. We had Upn 20 for road games and FSSW for home games.

I believe that Fox Sports Southwest, channel 25 on Bryan Cox Communication, should carry home games. We're screwed on the away games.

Ok so your from College Station, do you ever watch Astro games? Sometimes they come on channel 15, maybe the Rockets will come on channel 15? I guess I will just call Cox and find out.

I go to A&M too. I called some bars like Fox N Hound, and they said they were showing the Mavs game. The Mavs game???
I also asked if they were going to be showing some games....the only answer i got was, "maybe". Im sure Fox N Hound and maybe the Tap will use their sattelites. If you're from here, keep calling them and getting onto them about it.

One thing that you could do is try sending an email to some of the major local stations (NBC, CBS, etc.). Or do you still have Houston affiliates in College Station?

The reason I say that is that here in Beaumont, we get the FSSW games regularly, but our local CBS affiliate picks up about 20 or so of the games from the Houston channel (ch. 51, WB, or whoever has done it) and broadcasts it on another cable channel. Maybe that is a possibility for other affiliates... not sure, but it's worth a shot.

I remember that. I graduated and moved to Huntsville for Grad. school. No Rockets games here either. I'm going to Radio Shack tommorrow to see if they have some kind of Super Amplified UHF antenna.
A guy at Best Buy told me that I may have to get some kind of dish network of something. Anyways, if you're really nice to the guys at the Fox and the Hound, they will hook you up. All those guys are really cool.

I would assume they would. They've done it for a few years now, regardless of the Houston channel with the games, so it's not like they could only negotiate with one channel. I just hope we get more games this year, cause it seems there are a few less than usual on FSSW.

I also live in College Station, and had been planning on getting NBA Leauge Pass this year, but then I found out it was only for a certain cable network. Is that right? Because out here I believe the only thing we have is Time Warner.

I live right next to The Tap, They'll definitely be hearing from me (like they don't already). For some reason I thought that channel 2 here was 51 in Houston, but I'm not totally sure. I was pissed tonight when I saw the Mavericks game was on, but not the Rockets. Dam I hate the Mavs.

Time Warner in Austin has the League Pass. The only requirement is that you have Digital cable from Time Warner. Regular cable will not work.

No, must be different people. Leslie goes to school at A&M and Wade goes to graduate school at A&M and is a assitant coach for the A&M girls soccer team.
