Last year, many Rockets games were televised here in Eastern Texas on Fox Sports Net; what happened? No schedule for this year, I thought a deal was being worked out!?
Deal is almost done. They won't be on Fox until their first home game, so no need to panic. Away games aren't on Fox.
Thanks Jeff, encouraging news. However, if they continue to play like they did tonight, it probably won't matter. I almost destroyed my tv last year, it can't take much more abuse.
There will certainly be a deal, but it is likely there will be fewer games on FSSW this season. Apparently part of the agreement with 51 is that they will pick up any games the Rockets cannot get on the other carriers. According to the schedule at rockets.com, KNWS is now carrying the first five games (tonight, Friday @ Denver, Toronto here Saturday, Seattle here Tuesday, and Golden State here next Saturday). That means the first possible FSSW game will be Tuesday, Nov. 12, when the Trailblazers are here.
You are exactly right. I saw in the Chron that they are still negotiating and the 12th would be the first possible FSSW game. They'll get it done.
