okay well unfortunently we are sitting at 6-6 right now...but looking at the next 10 games for the Rockets i dont think it would be any suprise to see us going 8-2 starting with tonights game against Miami...at the end of the stretch being a 14-8 team...what do you guys think? Miami Denver LAC Phoenix Golden State Sacremento Memphis New Jersey Toronto Philidelphia
14-8 looks about right. thats assuming we dont slip up against both Denver and Toronto. i'd hate to come out of that being 12-10
if Adelman stops smoking Reefer before the games and plays Francis & Snyder instead of Rafer & Head, there's a good chance we go 8-2 (2 losses at Phoenix and Oakland), but if he sticks with Rafer & Head, there's I think losses to Miami, Denver, Phoenix, GS, NJ, and Toronto wouldn't be unexpected..
Hard to say if RA is still the coach. Miami (?)--we could win, consider Miami is one of the worst teams in the league now. But who knows, we lost to Memphis too. Denver (L)-- I dont see we have any chance to beat Ai and Melo with MJ RA and Head. LAC (?)--I dont know, I just hope mobley wont convince SF3 go with him. Phoenix (L)--no need to discuss. Golden State (L)--AZ will tell rocket how wrong it is to give him up. Sacremento (?)--Are you really sure RA is not undercover after watching 12 games? Memphis (L)--We will regret forever to give up GAY. New Jersey (W)--If all big three injured, we should have a chance. Toronto (L)-- If you ask RA, how to beat the best 3p team in the league? He will tell you THERE ARE A WAY, I JUST DONT KNOW. Philidelphia (W)--If we cant beat 76ers, I sugguest fire RA, hire me as head coach, and I promise you we get the 1st pick next year.
Does T-Mac play all these games? I'm not so sure. The elbow is still bothering him, and it appears that it gets worse during games. The Rockets may decide to give him an extended rest. In which case, all bets are off on how many games we win. With T-Mac and Yao healthy, we should win at least 6 of these games, which would leave use at 12-10. To reach that 60 win mark, it require us to go 50-10 after that. At best, I say 9-1, which would put us at a very healthy 15-7 to start the season. From that position, we need to go 45-15 to reach 60, which is very doable.
after the brutal first part of the schedule, any other elite team would go on a crazy run since our schedule looks great after the first few months, but we always lose to scrub teams....im only expecting a 4-6 seed in the playoffs....if we do better, fantastic but im tired of setting my expectations so high only to be disappointed... You know what a 4-6 seed means.....a high possibility of another first round exit...if this happens...."major" changes need to be made, ones we wouldn't have imagined the past few years.
we will kick it into 2-3 gears from where we are at right now so we can still get a top 3 seed. we have THE toughest schedule right now. i mean, facing the top 3 teams in the ENTIRE league 2 times in one single month, C'MON now. and we're facing them when we are really struggling with the offense, defense, tmac being out, yao still looking for ways to find solutions to the frontin defense, our PG problem is disarray... i think we'll be fine.
After 20+ years of die-hard devotion to the Rockets, I'm willing to not get too up and down. 10-0 would be great over the next stretch, but if its 5-5, we still have a lot of season left. The key is to make the playoffs, attempt to get homecourt advantage if possible, but get past the first round. I'll be dissapointed with anything but a championship, but don't think I can take another first round exit in general. It'd be nice to get a 3 game winning streak going into Phoenix. If you can do that, and slip by Phoenix, in all seriousness, no reason not to win them all. But it is highly unlikely.
If we continue playing the way we are lately,we just as easily can have more losses than wins in this stretch...sadly. But hoping the rockets push it and get over the slump, we can go undefeated. Don't forget our game with PHX was not a blow-out. And to those who think guards cannot pocket A.I, they cannot pocket Tmac/Bonzi(hoping he snaps out of it)/Yao(Has to step his game up against Camby). I always wish the best for the Rockets, and that will not change. I,personally, want a perfect stretch. Let's win tonight to start things off.
We better beat the Nuggets tomorrow because 7/8 after that are on the road. 6-7 could turn into 9-13 (or worse) if we aren't careful.
The following games: L Miami L Denver L LAC L Phoenix L Golden State L Sacremento L Memphis maybe a W? New Jersey L Toronto maybe a W Philidelphia
The way this team is playing. No surprise if we lose another 6 games. Nobody on this team has any intensity or confidence. Players playing as if basketball is torture. We're exposed now. No defense or offense.
If you go by the way we are playing and the obviously poor preparation,I would not be shocked if it's 6-16
It is sad to be looking forward to the easy part of the schedule to get this team going. I don't know exactly what will get this thing turned around but if things don't get better Morey better have some kind of trade in the works.
