In keeping with the season, what yould you have for the New Year for the Rockets?

    Me?

My first resolution is that the fans would stop dissing the team when they loose, and planning to purchace their NBA Finals tix when they win.

    also,

I guess I'd have to resolve to get Yao Ming more FG opportunities...

    1. Consistency - they are the 2nd youngest team in the NBA, but a team of NBA players with a great coach should be able to put their best effort on the floor EVERY night. Not just against the good teams. We should beat the poorer teams, not just scrape by or lose. This is a must if we want to get home court for the playoffs. The Rockets have to beat the weaker teams and play well on the road.

    2. Turnovers - when they win, turnovers are always low and vice versa. Francis is usually the leader, but it seems like he gets these turnovers when he tries to force something on offense.

    3. Keep Yao in the offensive flow. I don't mind Steve or Cat taking it to the hole or shooting when they are open, but I would like to see Yao touch the ball on every play. It will keep the defense honest and create more open shots after the double team on Yao.

Overall I think the Rockets are in great shape. As the team gels and matures they will solve the problems above. The Rockets play very well at home, which is a good sign. We have depth and more talent than almost any team. I am very excited about this season and the effort from every player. Even when the Rockets lose it doesn't bother me that much because I know that they are learning from their mistakes. The Rockets are going to be scary. :)

That's right... We are the 2nd youngest team in experience!!!! So what do y'all expect???? We are so young...we need to consistent.

I wish that the Rockets will beat the Los Angeles Lakers on January 17.

I hope that the Rockets will become a more consistent and dominant team.

I hope that the Rockets' forwards become superstars.

I hope the Rockets' lead the league in blocked shots.

I hope the Rockets make the playoffs.

They will since I will be in attendance and they always win when I'm there. :D Excuse me for a moment while I knock on wood.

    *Knock, Knock*

Ok, anyways...my biggest hope is for them to make the playoffs, which is definitly a good possibility. Besides that, I'd like consistency and more play in the post. I'd prefer Eddie to good down low more often. Uh....that's really about all I can think of without repeating even more what has already been said.

Rudy: I resolve to stand pat with this roster and let it develop. I resolve to let Francis and Cuttino to do whatever they want and hope that they want to do the right thing. Uh, these guys play so hard, and the effort has been there. I couldn't be prouder of the way that they run around at high speeds with no direction.

Francis: I resolve to kick Cuttino's butt if he doesn't keep playing defense and doesn't quit jacking up stupid shots. I resolve to drive everyone crazy with my brilliance and pigheadedness.

Cuttino: I resolve to keep jacking up shots because I'm Cuttino and my scoring is an integral part of last year's team.

Moochie: I resolve to dribble, dribble and dribble more than last year.

Rice: I resolve to obscure my deficiencies on the court by building my image as a necessary "veteran influence."

MoTay: I resolve to take advantage of the two or three people in this league that are fatter and slower than I am.

Griffin: I resolve to gain weight until I have a third dimension.

Cato: I resolve to spin the ball on my index finger after I whirl it behind my back before shooting free throws. Calvin says it will help my percentage.

Yao: I resolve not to kill someone in my first year in the league, even tho everyone and their mother is going Bill Laimbeer/Rick Mahorn on me every night. I resolve to continue to talk about my need for sleep until Rudy lets me sleep for one week solid. In the off-season, I will go home and berate my Chinese guards for not being Steve Francis. I resolve to play in the CBA on one leg and left handed because I have already learned too much in the NBA.

Boki: I resolve to work on my dancing. I resolve to get more PT and camera time, so that I can get more chicks in the US.
