Rox 4th in worth, 3rd in revenue.... http://www.latimes.com/sports/baske...5081,print.story?coll=la-headlines-sports-nba Forbes' annual NBA team valuations are based on market size and real estate. Current value and revenue numbers are millions and percentage change is based on one year: Rank Team Owner(s) Value Change Revenue 4. Houston Rockets Leslie Alexander $369 33% $125 Copyright 2005 Los Angeles Times
see the change is 33% highest of any team...cause hes been raising ticket prices forever to ridiculous levels now and that is why noone goes to games, at least one of the reasons...my opinion at least....
If that's true, Les should really spend more money on good role players. Just look at the Suns, they spend money on Nash and Qrich, now they are elite.
and why would he care if you go or don't go??? who's beating him on revenues??? two markets he can't touch, anyway.
I know. But with that kind of revenue, Les can afford to go over salary cap a little bit if he is trule commited to winning.
Whats crazy is that portland's revenue doesn't even cover their players salaries. I wish Paul Allen owned the rockets.
what?? no. you're missing my point. if your criteria for keeping a player around or not making a move is off the court stuff...then, as a fan, you're building a team based on different criteria than what I'm rooting for. i don't care about the market value of your team...i don't care about your endorsements or how many jerseys you sell in Asia. i care about championship banners and parades through downtown Houston.
hopefully?? no, it's true. he has two rings to show for it. he's brought in big name talent after big name talent.
I'm not sure who is missin the point here. Better role player on Rockets means Championship if I'm not mistaken. We already have Tmac and Yao as conerstones, all we need is quality role players who can make plays, and now we don't have that.
