Andy Katz on NBA today reported that Houston and Boston are the 2 teams trying to move up. He said Boston was looking at Gasol alot and the Rockets are trying to move up possibly for Eddie Griffin. Then he stated that Griffin is either #1 or #2 pick.

At Small Forward.... Eddie Griffin. Heyp loses. [IMG]

And you're just assuming Griffin would beat out Langhi ? [IMG]

gosh, the crap's all over the place now...

would you guys be suprised if the Rockets both:

    a) overpayed for a higher pick and
2 [IMG]) reached w/ that pick?

Is it a stretch to trade for 3 or 4 and then pick a player like White at that pick?

Remember the old saying: if it's too good to be true, it probably is. For what we could offer (of course Francis and Mobley won't be a part of any deal, and we can't deal Shandon or Mo), Washington would have to be morons to give us that top pick. I mean, we have some decent trade bait in three picks, and some solid role players in KT, Mooch, etc., but I don't see how that could get us the #1, unless Jordan has another deal up his sleeve.

I would gladly give up my moniker for Eddie Griffen. But, you poor, poor fool...if we move up that far, we are taking Kwama de la creme Brown.

hehe...pat myself on the back for that nick!

naw, if the rockets move up to the top pick in the draft(how is that possible?)

    .

rocks would pick griffen. They need someone to punch Mobes and Francis in the mouth when they dont share the ball.

Of course nobody ever knows how well these HSers will turn out, but if the Clippers do not take Brown they are fools...if he lives up to his comparisons to KG, imagine the lineup of the future- Kandi, Brown, Miles, Odom, Dooling...that is scary to think about. Then they could tank next year and take Jason Williams and they would be set for the next 10 years. [IMG]

Thanks for providing all that evidence to support your point. [IMG]

Griffin may not be the next Manning, but he is not someone I want on my team. Ive gone to school in Philadlephia for hte past 3 years so have had the chance to follow Griffin carefully. The kid can flat out play, no doubt about that. But he is CONSTANTLY in some kind of trouble. This goes back to High School days. Strong ties exist on the Rockets team and someone like Griffin could screw that up. From what Ive heard Kwame Brown is a man-child, and Diop is also very good. Add in Rodney White and perhaps a Joe Johnson a little further down (7th pick or later) and I think there are plenty of options for the Rockets other than Griffin.

Griffin on the Rockets, wow, I would be salivating in wait to watch the rockets next year. I mean, The Rockets have had a good nucleas of players in terms of getting along off the court. The positive comraderie (spelling?) in the lockeroom leads me to believe that Griffin and his attitude would fit in nicely.

    Kwame Brown sounds nice too.

If the Rockets can get Webber and pull this off, here they come to the 2nd Round.

If Andy katz is genuine in his gossip, and is sure of the Rockets leaking out the name Eddie Griffin as a top desire for Houston, then obviously that is not CD's man.

Oh man, Carrol Dawson doesn't wear such large glasses for nothing, when will you guys ever learn, you guys are too gullible too gullible, theres alot of cunning and crafty brain cells at work within that head of his.

Rocketbooster: The Rocket's organization isn't infallible. And leaks aren't always intentional, although it sometime seems that way [IMG].

As the Sports section of the Chronicle reported today, Carrol's glasses are a result of a lighting strike or something like that. Interesting.
