The Dwight and Harden pick and roll is easily the most lethal play in the Rocket's play book. In regular season and game 3 of the playoffs we witness that play shred the Blazers to pieces. Outside of game 3, this play has basically disappeared from the playoffs. It wasn't present in games 1 or 2. And in game 4 with the Rocket's season on the line, the rockets didn't even attempt it once despite Blazers showing that they have no ability to stop it. If Rockets actually want to win this series, the pick and roll between Dwight and Harden has to make up at least 30% of our plays.

seriously though, why are the rockets allergic to the PnR? Jerry Sloan made 2 Hall-of-Famers off this simple play and two (former) stars in D-Will and Boozer that torched the rockets for years. Why doesn't Mchale like to run this in winning time? It really is baffling. Dwight and Harden were feasting with this play and all of sudden Mchale just stops using it in the crunch..

McHale doesn't call plays. Harden likes to iso. and Howard likes to post up when that's not his strength.
