    WAIT A SECOND!!!

    Hakeem was not even close to the risk that Ming is!!! Not even close

    1. He had played college basketball

    2. We saw him play over and over again

    3. We saw him play against and with other players who would eventually be NBA players

    4. Most important...the Nigerian government wasn't imposing its will in our ability to sign Hakeem!!!

    Hakeem had already shown the goods...Ming is a virtual unknown...a best guess is most you can get on this guy.
