According to Gene, Thursday's game is ONLY on TNT. PLUS, it'll be the Barkley/Kenny Smith A$$-kissing. Can't miss that!!! So, I'm figuring that this is a GREAT opportunity for a CC.net get together. Who's up for it? And Where? Last year we went to Barry's Pizza -- that was cool.
Gene is right -- TNT's deal with the NBA includes the exclusive broadcast of two games every Thursday. There is also always a third game available as a backup, and that backup gets televised by the local teams unless TNT picks it up. The Rockets only have one Thursday night game all year -- and this is it. If we only get one, I can't think of a better night than "Pucker Up Chuck" night. Tim, If that's the case, then the schedule on http://www.nba.com/rockets/schedule/ must be wrong or out of date, right? According to the schedule the game will be shown on 51, contrary to what you are saying.
its wrong. tnt has exclusive rights to 2 games, and the rocks mavs game is one of them. i am not positive...but this is the way it is supposed to be. but if 51 sneaks a game...ur inluck.
Alright, since no one's responded about where to meet, we'll meet at Barry's Pizza again. It worked out well last time, and they've got good food and cold beer. I'll show up there around 6:00 if I can. Will be wearing a red Houston Rockets hat.
