Griffin 5-16??? dayum. Does he have a broken arm or what?? ------------------ "For there is nothing either good or bad, thinking makes it so." - William Shakespeare (1564-1616), Hamlet
Langhi! ------------------ Rarely is the question asked: Guns kill squirrels than REDRUM to fools across the nation?
Damn Colson sucks... ------------------ So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking, Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.
Colson seems pretty trigger happy in his first 2 games. ------------------ You are all bàilisdeires and ainmhides who are allowed to witness my dailgneachd.
Griffin did not get to the line? I wonder if he is not being aggressive enough on offense. ------------------
I thought ever since draft night that Griffen would not start considering the fact that rudy likes to work in his rookies. And right now Langhi is looking to give Rudy some (positive) grief. decisions decisions decisions. That bet never ended. i wonder if it is too late to still get in on it, cause it isnt over yet. ------------------ ...The OTHER Dark Meat
If anyone sees a complete box score, please post it... The guy that is impressing me, and has gone unnoticed a lot, is Terence Morris. He won't ever lead the team, won't put up monster numbers, but he can play consistent basketball on both ends of the floor. Last night he was the assigned guy on Lamar Odom, and by all reports did a pretty good job. They also said he handled the ball well, and he shot at a 50% clip. Based on stats alone, tonight looks to be very similar. He shot the ball at 50% from the field, went 6 for 6 from the line, and the two guys Golden State would seem to use the most at the 3, Chris Porter and Troy Murphy, shot a combined 10 for 30. I know it's just summer league games, but Morris is different than many players. If he's playing sound perimeter defense, hustling, handling the ball well, and hitting his open shots, he may play a lot of minutes this year. That's actually the thing that's great about Griffin and Morris both-- by no means will they be immediate stars, but the transition to the NBA game is a lot easier when your defensive game is already at a high level. ------------------ Draftsource.net-- the premier source for draft info. Langhi again !!! I have been consistently saying this kid can play. Bench Walt now !!! ------------------ How long do I have to endure this ?
Trade Walt now !!! Mango ------------------ Get it right or just don't do it! Resistance is futile....you will be assimilated. Start more Webber threads!
Oh Mango, if only you asked for an Amen !!! I am gonna give you one anyway. AMEN !!! BahDakota ------------------ How long do I have to endure this ?
Damn Lanky's been tearing it up. I really hope his success and confidence in these leagues can carry over into the regular season. He has the makings of a great spot role player. ------------------ You are all bàilisdeires and ainmhides who are allowed to witness my dailgneachd.
TPL, I think he has the makings of a good SF. He only needs playing time. You don't get to be player of the year in the SEC and be capable of being more then a role player. BahDakota ------------------ How long do I have to endure this ?
Rudy T would love it if DL could come off of the bench this year as the 6th man and provide that instant offense that Mobes gave us as the 6th man. That deadly outside shot is going to be great this year. ------------------
I don't think his offense will be a problem. He can shoot lights out, its his defense that I'm worried about. He just seems lost out there on defense some times. Maybe playing time will change that. I think if Langhi shows he can D up on some of the better SF in the league, he will be our starter this year and HeyP will get his moniker back. ------------------
Lot's of ball hogging again tonight with Colson. Most of what Egriff missed were 18-20 foot jumpers, but alot of the time, that is all he was given for a shot. Colson really wants to impress the coaches for more Reg season PT. Seriously, at least 3-4 times, EGriff was calling for the ball in the post with only 1 post defender on him, and Colson would shake him off or drive in and force EGriff to pick. But of course no roll...usually just a jumper or drive by Colson.<P. T-MO has really impressed thus far with his mature game and energy. Great body and athleticism. So far from what I've seen he is the bright spot in the first 2 games. Egriff, as expected, has a shy sullen demeanor all the time on the floor. And you can see T-Mo go to him a couple times a game to talk or encourage, whatever when Egriff had a rough play. I hope he continues to help as a leader, because he may start the season with more minutes at SF than Egriff at this early point IMO. ------------------
Well it looks like Sean Colson is the new leader in the "Who will Eddie punch first" contest... ------------------ President of the CC.net Realist Club, everyone needs a dose of reality once in a while...
DaDakota, Unfortunately for Dan, the Rockets need two things from their small forward, weakside shotblocking and defense, which are two things that Langhi can not provide. Langhi could thrive off of the playmaking of our guards, but as a coach, you have to play him at times when he's not going to be a defensive liability. He doesn't have good lateral quickness. Then again, with the new rules, you could hide a player like Langhi, but IMO, he'll still be somewhat of a liability. I think it's unfair to judge players from these games because for one, Colson and Saul Smith's playmaking ability and delivering of the ball into the post or off the pick and roll would be average at best IMO. If Griffin played with better, playmaking guards I think you'd see his scoring go up. Also, this is just speculation, but judging by the number of shots Langhi's getting, I would think that the offense is being run through him pretty consistently. ------------------ You are all bàilisdeires and ainmhides who are allowed to witness my dailgneachd. To anyone that was there: About how many shots would you say Griffin blocked tonight? And how did Jason Richardson look? ------------------ MoTTmoKTCMoCatoMooMooMoochWinkBullGriffDreamWizDanman
