six teams are in hunt for #1 and #2 including Houston according to draftexpress. In the same article they also state that Houston is talking swap with Orlando. This draft is going to be special as in Drama special.

look under jordan deciding the pick.

why are we going after the top 1 and 2. I don't understand. I don't see Roy going 3. I can see Gay and Morrison going 3rd and 4th. Does that mean we are after Gay or Morrison. Are we chasing GAY. I really think Rockets are looking to acquire Gay. His height and skills can certainly give us that 3rd scorer. I think Gay will be better then brewer but brewer is more NBA ready than Gay right now.

Now if we do swap with Orlando then i don't think we will get Ronnie Brewer. I think Orlando will take him. I have no clue what Rockets are thinking. They should have a great player in brewer available and they should take him rather then hoping he will be available at 11.

    Houston moving up for Morrison?

    Rumor

Houston one of six team trying to move up for Morrison?
I'd only offer #8 + swift or #8 + Head, probably not enough though

Can free agents sign back with their teams yet? If so, maybe a S&T with Mike James could be worked out, like so...

Toronto signs Mike James for 3 years, $6.5 million per (give or take .5 mil), or whatever it takes to make contracts match up once the picks are included. Then it's...

    #1 pick
    Mike James

    for

    #8 pick
    Stromile Swift
    Luther Head

I mean, Mike James is likely to not re-sign with Toronto anyway so at least this gives them a chance to get some young players for him, and in a draft like this, if they really don't like anyone that much at #1, moving to #8 isn't gonig to kill them. Pretty nice for them, actually. For us, it would allow us to trade one tweener (Luther) for a better tweener that can help us win NOW (M.James), we get the #1 pick which we can use on Morrison, Roy, Gay, whoever. Then, and this is the key to the whole thing really, we'd STILL have the MLE.

The only problem is that I just tried this trade on RealGM's trade checker, and we don't have the ability to re-sign Mike James until the next salary cap year which doesn't begin until July 1st. I don't know if there's anyway to work out a trade on draft day even though it can't actually be executed until 3 days later.

well we could trade 8 for their 1 as a seperate deal to a re-signed mike james for swift and head. i would do it in a second but i don't really see why they would.

Maybe we can get a steal for the 3rd pick..

Jordan might be dumb as Issiah.. lol... But really doubt it.

If Jordan is able to decide the calls for the Bobcats.

No, you can't sign players before the draft.

Ehhh. Its only realgm. ;) I assume Morrison would play 1 of 2 positions on our team. One is SF, but where does that leave McGrady? At the 2 guarding Wade, Kobe, and Terry? The other position would be the bench. Why trade so many valuable pieces for a bench player? Morrison's defense is underated. Thats about the only positive you will hear out of me.

Actually, its DraftExpress. I would assume we are talking to Toronto, if the story is true. Could you imagine the excitement if we move to #1 and Draft the Stache? With Yao, TMac and Stache, we would have the highest road attendance in the league.

As far as I'm concerned; Gay, Roy, and Morrison are the "can't miss" prospects at the top of the draft. Any one of them would be a God-send for this team. However, I think Morrsion is the only one of them who has a chance to go number 1. If we are trying to move up to 1, chances are we are in love with Morrison.

T-Mac at the 2 would be fine, as long as we have a backup defensive stopper at the 2 who can play quality minutes.

McGrady & Morrison as SG/SF reminds me a lot of McGrady/Mike Miller combo from Orlando.

    I can see it work.

Most rumors are bogus. Most of the ones which are true still don't actually happen.

Trade up to draft the one player the team truley covets. Morrison

or trade down and pick two players that fill a couple of holes. Redick and Brewer.

I don't doubt for a second that the Rockets are trying to find out what it would take to pull off either of these moves.
