The King has apparently left the building...

Elvis, come back to life and tell us what the scoop is from the Rockets Attorney or anyone else who heard him speak on 610!

I listened to the interview with Michael Goldberg in its entirety. He basically said we have complete approval from Sharks, and the Sharks would give full support for full season + playoffs with Rockets in NBA. He also said he had a meeting in 2 hours with the CBA officials.

On a side note he mentioned that Yao Ming was in Beijing and there was a chance they would view a practice with the national team.

This is getting closer and closer to a done deal.

Why don't we make a three way deal and trade the #15 for Lamar Odom and Eddy Curry...and lets dump Cato's contract too.

    Houston Gets:
    Lamar Odom
    Eddy Curry

    LA Clippers Gets:
    #15
    Kelvin Cato
$20 gift certificate to Kim Son

    Chicago Gets:
NYKRule (who gets sent to China into a Wok-making prison)
    96 oz Slimfast

doc :we all 'thunk it' as the rockets, the media, and practically everyone else said so from the beginning as it is only natural and obvious we would talk to ming and go to china to do so...

i dont think these negotiations show anything but obvious procedure in moving towards action near or around draft day..

this doesnt insure we will get ming and if we do get ming it wasnt a big scoop from neither you nor anyone else..

    it was obvious all along...

now if we get ming then do something with the 15 and trade for shaq and kobe and then ship them to whatever and you predict it then I will say

'jeez doc rocket you were right who'd a thunk it?'

this on the other hand was OBVIOUS

rock box : clutch is the only one I will listen to..

it would be stupid for us to not talk to ming and at least pretend to be interested and then going ahead and being safe and choosing ming would be no wild event...

    it is my understanding that:
    we have the first pick

ming is the top prospect at center

    we need a center

no matter what team chooses ming will have a unique negotiation with ming and chinese govt

would it not make sense to go to china and talk??

if we do pick ming it would be based on the understanding I mention above

I trust clutch to cross validate and he has no need to brag

those that do predict here then return for the 'yeah thanks for posting I am great because i am' posts are bragging and thats sad

if they didnt have such egos like they do i would appreciate their posts and be thankful they do post if indeed it was not the obvious..

but sorry I am not kissing a$$ to someone nor do I understand doing so to someone or someone's that continually post the obvious..

I like Nachbar at no. 15 since he seems to be a smart player who can run and create off the dribble which is a definate plus. His defense sounds kinda iffy though.

Doc, you da man! Now, is Stevie going to pout, or is he going to be a man? Will he be a team man and do everything he can to help Ming succeed? What about his echo, Mobley?

    Whew....I know...what a lucky call!!

    :D

Every now and then someone pops up. So, you trust Clutch? Have you ever met him? Do you know him? You must trust him blindly then? Who else do you trust blindly? (PLEASE BE ME!! PLEASE BE ME!!! )Do have any ideas how many things Clutch HAS NOT posted? No clue, huh? Don't be bitter. The "who woulda thunk it" was refering to Ming-Bashers not my ...what did you call it....EGO?? My ego stays in the bedroom.

Relax Pinecone...from now one we'll all refer to you as ...again, what did you call it...a BBS LEGEND?? I have to admit, I like the way it sounds!! All the more reason you should be it!

So, what do we do next, Sir....

Tell ya what, take the top 20 picks on NBADRAFT.NET and I say 5 of them will be in the top 10. Why??? Because I'm an insider!! I have sources!! My God, the leaks!! All this info!!

Relax, it's a BBS, not the OSCARS!! We're just spreading the word as we hear it not how it sounds to your ears. If you hear EGO, you're drunk...or at least, hungover!

If my boy tells me 'WE ARE TAKING MING WITHOUT A DOUBT!! HE'S OUR GUY AND WE'RE NOT TRADING THE PICK!!" I just don't know how else to put it. It's not my view, it's theirs! That's all I can tell you. I'll email you personally and see if sounds cool before I post it.

    ........kids.

I LOVE IT when I get to be defensive sometimes! It's just so relaxing! :p

Let me make sure I just understood what you're saying: This does not mean we want or will draft Ming, but if we go a step further and draft Ming, it was obvious all along?

I never understand why some people are hostile in their skepticism. If someone was trying to deceive you intentionally I could understand, but not here.

Elvis, SuperKev - thanks for the scoop about the show. Now I wonder when the Rockets think they have this sealed up, or when they think they'll be coming back (because dammit you would think Rudy and CD would want to watch any prospect workouts). If the CBA gives their blessing for FIBA clearance for him to enter the draft, what is left to block us?
