When Dwight was in Orlando( don't worry, not a Dwight thread) I remember hearing how Stan Van Gundy had posted for every player what their job description was, on the front of their locker. I think it was when they made their run to the Finals( can't find exactly when)

If we did that for Houston players what would they say? What does that player (realistically) according to his position need to do to help us win.

    EX:
Lin-take control of the offense. set the plays up. Be a pass first PG. drive and make or drive and dish. use your speed and cut to the basket when you can. Cut down on shots you don't feel comfortable with. Don't be sacred!

Harden- Be a Star and a Leader. help get your team involved early, collapse the D (look for open man). Run plays or be a part of plays being ran, Dont get caught up in hero ball(if not needed). get to the hoop drive drive drive, get your free throws. be ready to be the closer in tight games

Parsons- make your open shots. be at the right place/right time when Lin or harden is driving to the hole. use quickness as well and drive a few to the basket, to make or dish out. Trust your 3 point shot. Make opponents top wing player work for their shot.

Asik- Play hard. position self accordingly. every rebound is your rebound. ALWAYS be ready to catch the ball under the basket, anticipate you getting the ball during somebody's drive

PF ?? Pick who should go here in your mind

And nope it shouldn't be all pass to harden( /thread, lol)

Although I didn't put anything for the defensive side of the ball, I still think it would be cool to hear what each player could do to help( if you have an opinion about that)

Lin - be aggressive, attack the basket and be confident taking the 3 ball if you're open. Look to set everyone up. Be the floor general, take command.

Harden - Look to take it to the hole every time. When the defence collapses, look to find the open man. Let the game come to you, take your shots in the offensive scheme, don't force it. Be ready to take over at critical junctures.

Parsons - be active. make strong cuts to the basket. you don't have to ball fake every single time. Take your 3s but don't force it. Crash the boards. You need to be a lock down defender, play your man tight and smart.

Howard (yes I'm going there) - You are a beast. No fade aways. Quick strong moves to the basket. The paint is yours, own it. Run and you'll get reward as the trailer. Destroy your man on both ends. Relax and zone out, focus on the basket and make your free throws.

Asik - You have back up now, be aggressive, swat those balls like flies. Go up strong, try to dunk every shot. Be aware of spacing and crash those boards.

    haha made me laugh :)

But I wish for Lin to be more assertive. Demand the ball and not make Harden carry the offensive load. Asik is improving so much, I hope he just work on his hands this summer and catch the ball. Harden needs to chill when he's not dropping shots and pass the ball more. Parson needs to stop being so damn sexy.
