It is pre-season means absolutely nothing. All I want to know is if our offensive efficiency will cary over to the regular season. Last two full seasons pre-season offense carried over to the regular season more so than defense. The offense was 12th last season I believe. If it can be close to the same or even better (with a young roster) that would be huge. McHale's system is really good.
Interesting look at preseason->regular season correlation by 82games. Not the most in-depth research to be sure. But there does seem to some(.69 correlation is hardly significant) indication that a good pre-season can somewhat predict regular season success for bad teams. And despite the Rockets being a .500 team last season, we can all agree that the talent coming in is a bad team. And our incoming rookies, picks 12, 16, and 18, is closer to a team with a 6-10 pick rather than a .500 team. FWIW, at the end of the article it listed 3 teams that played well that preseason: Raptors, Knicks, and Hawks. They won 47, 33, and 30 respectively during the regular season. I believe our over/under is 30 1/2. So perhaps a good pre-season may indicate slight overachivement?
We always have a good summer league and preseason almost every year. It means the giants are still asleep.
Lakers are dead last. LOL. I predict we face Miami in the finals, and White will own Lebron. Mark it!
Morey has set a high standard and a pattern of success with this new team. If we don't win this year I think he and Les need to have a serious talk about his job performance. Coach McHale should have the same treatment as well.
WOW.. you know what this means ? Obviously the Lakers are on pace to win ZERO GAMES this year and the Rockets will be 41-41 ..... YAAAAAAAYY
