Posted in the Dish but there is a Rockets mention. Lock/merge if necessary. The Minnesota Timberwolves are shopping forward Chase Budinger in trade talks, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Among talks with several teams, the Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets have shown an interest, league sources said. Houston is reluctant to take on the $5 million player option Budinger’s deal has in 2015-16, as are the Pistons, sources said. Nevertheless, the Pistons are taking a long look at Budinger and considering the possibility of making a deal. No trade is considered imminent for Budinger. Detroit lost shooting guard Jodie Meeks for two months because of a fractured back. The Wolves have a glut of forwards, and Budinger could struggle to find minutes this season. Budinger also is guaranteed $5 million for the 2014-15 season. Budinger, 26, averaged 6.7 points for the Wolves a season ago. Budinger played three seasons in Houston after getting drafted in the second round in 2009. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--timberwolves-shopping-forward-chase-budinger-164257155.html
You beat me to it, I just got an alert! How is his knee? We don't really have much depth at the 3, so I would welcome him -- granted we don't have to get rid of anything of significance.
No thanks. Another example of a player who is great as a second round pick and not someone you want to pay. Had two out of five seasons as a respectable offensive player, always been a subpar defender. Occasionally throws down a really nasty dunk I guess.
The Rockets are not interested in Bud. They might be interested in Bud+ (cough, Rubio, if rumors are to be believed)... but there's no way DM takes on a player option contract for $5 million.

As far as bud the player is concerned I could see us being interested but yea I don't see us being interested in a player with that contract.
C. Bud is a symbol of my eternal belief that Morey can draft random second-rounders, and turn them into profitable assets within a few years. dunno if that'll make a championship team, but dem 2nd rounders. mmm.
