The Rockets always do well against the teams with winning records and every time it seems like we are about to string a winning streak together, we lose to teams with losing records. Two years ago, our problem was, like this year, different from other teams. In 2000-2001, we were winning on the road, but losing at home.
What I am trying to get to is that we are capable of beating anyone and that if we take the games that we have the advantage in, we would be an elite team. The Sixers of two years ago, were not full of talent outside Allen Iverson, but they took care of games that they were expected to win and beat great teams to not only have one of the best records, but make it all the way to the finals. With Eddie Griffin doing a good job of blocking shots, Yao Ming dominating, Maurice Taylor finding his comfort zone soon, Kelvin Cato's hustle and the guards' play, there is no excuse now.

DJ, the Rockets will get over the inconsistency once they play more together and mature and bond as a team. The Rockets have many talented players, more than the 76ers. I just hope Hawk doesn't get cut. There is an excuse. They haven't even known each other for a full year. They just met. They are still experimenting. This year, I expect the Rockets to at least make the first round of the playoffs. They can't make it to the playoffs. Not when there's teams like the Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Pheonix Suns, Portland TrailBlazers. The Rockets are gonna get better later. Not now. :)
