Rockets in a bit of Catch-22

Under JVG, we were a slow, predicatable team that usually won 50 games during the regular season. We beat up on the crappy teams, and were very average against playoff teams. I think the 1st rd of the playoffs was our ceiling with JVG. So in the waining moments of Game 7 when i knew it was over, i knew JVG was done. So then in comes Rick Adelman. Its def always a risk firing a coach who had given us some good success over the last few seasons. So here we are 9-9, our offense has actually been worse than last yr. And our defense has been considerably worse. Adelman's offense has really only helped 1 person, TMAC! His fg% is up, he's getting a few layups dunks each game now. However, the problem is that Rick Adelman is stuck with a lot of JVG type players. Chuck Hayes as your starting PF in the WEST????? He picked up his 4th foul in the first half!! Rafer Alston shooting liabilities are that much worse in this offense. ANd the biggest disappointment this seasonn IMO has been Shane Battier. Again Morey and JVG loved his intangibles, but under RA he is off his game. He is shooting well under 40% for the season. His defense has been crap, and his inability to be a ball handler presents another liability. So here we are, RA has a team full of JVG type players. IF JVG were here, we might have won this game tonight, or the Memphis game, or the Heat game, but come time in MAy, we would all be sullen and saddened with another 1st rd exit. So the solution is not to fire RA yet. I mean it only has been one month. But now with alot of players on this roster and more flexibility. We must ,, WE MUST make a trade. We need a legit starting PF, and a seasoned PG.
