With all the clamoring for a trade, I was just curious who the Rockets ideal center would be?

    Eddy Curry

Could develop into a dominant big man... Full of strength and agility... Very polished offensive game... Very effective right-handed jump hook

    langal,

Do you want him traded and if so are you a Rockets fan or are you a Lakers, Warriors, Clippers .....fan?

I'm just curious, I've noticed a lot of the people who want Yao gone seem to be fans of other team. I'm sure there are some Rockets fans that want him gone too. Me, so far I want him to stay.

I think he should definitely play out his contract. Rockets would be stupid to not pick up his 4th year option.

If the public outcry reaches new heights by then, Rox can always do a sign-and-trade. I think about 29 teams would love to have Yao.

To package him now with someone like Mo Taylor to get Mihm and Odom would be just foolish in my opinion.

I was just curious who Rockets fans thought should be the starting center since so many people think Yao sucks and has to go.

I don't think there are that many people who want him gone because they think he sucks. I'm sure there are a few just like on every other teams' message boards. You can go to any team's board and find a group of poster who thinks he is overrated and do not want him.

I'll give a serious response even though this thread is obviously a joke.

I think in today's NBA game, a traditional center (7+ foot, 250 lbs.) is unnecessary. If we're building around Mcgrady, an ideal center has to do the dirty work (rebounds, blocks, defense), keep up in a fast paced tempo, and, you know, someone that can actually catch passes and is a good finisher around the basket.

Players that might fit the bill are Okafor, Dalembert, Cato, Tyson Chandler, Dwight Howard, Stromile Swift, Marcus Camby, Nene, Ratliff.

What defines a center versus a power forward? I'd rather have Jermaine Oneal.

Since nobody is as great as the Dream, I'll keep him. What? He retired? So what, you are talking about ideal center, nobody satisfies me right now. I still want my Dream.

Well, I obviously wouldn't trade Yao for him, or even trade Yao, or even trade for this guy, but I'd say Jamaal Magloire.

I hope the Rockets trade Yao and put him out of misery.... Yao deserves to be on a much better team...
