Our 4 game winning streak is the largest in the NBA right now. The closest to it are the Spurs, Boston, and Utah with three (but they haven't played nearly has tough as teams as the Rockets have.) For the last 10 games (with a record of 8-2) we are tied with Utah, Kings, and New Jersey. Not bad company I might add (well Utah sucks...) Anyways, I think that if we can keep up our winning ways we should be able to stay up top in the Western standings. I wouldn't be suprised if we moved up into the top 4 by the end of January.
Ugh....We have some tough road games ahead...and are 6-10 on the road. Monday at San Antonio..Tues at Dallas.... I don't know. DD
See... the problem is we won most of them at home. The truer test would be road games which Rockets would have to prove it in the next several games against tough teams.
If we split those Id be thrilled. We're bound for a letdown after yesterday. Good thing we have 2 days off to recover emotionally and physically from that game. That was a draining experience. Good but draining - and we didnt even play.
Don't forget... The Rockets have been known for getting too high on wins, and too low on loses. We always need a reality check. Let's keep it in perspective.
Oh, and we also tend to play DOWN to the talent. So, when the Bulls come to town, we let our guard down and don't play hard. Then, we lose.
Rockets hottest team in the league And the most tired. Let's hope the Rockets can figure out a way to beat good teams, without SF having to score 40+ points. Raven
LOL! Thats the funniest smiley I have ever seen. I think we will beat the Spurs, Mavs and Piston, but lose to the Bulls.
HMM...... MILWAUKEE BUCKS. FIVE Game Winning Streak. Our streak is about to end soon anyways. It was a good run but now it's about to end. Wouldn't it be great to beat both the Spurs and the Mavericks on back-to-back days? I just hope we can beat at least one. We have already beat the Spurs before. And the Suns have beat the Mavericks. If the SUNS CAN BEAT THEM, we could beat them!...if it is at home. Yao Ming will be extremely tired. lol........we've beat most of teh good teams.....but have lost to the crappy teams. What is up with that? The Rockets are very surprising though...
Bucks lost yesterday to Boston. The Spurs, Detroit, and the Mavs are all teams we can beat. These are the games that the Rockets have shown that they can play at a higher level when needed to. Though we could end up losing the next 3 games, we could also win the next three, and damn that would make some people's heads turn. Actually I think the key to winning the next couple of games is going to be Ming. Versus the Mav's and Spurs he had huge games. If the Rockets can get that out of Ming I don't think we can lose.
You really think if we can keep winning we should be able to stay up top in the standings ? Ok, sorry, just a little sarcasm, i couldn't resist it...
I was thinking about our next game against San Antonio. The only way we can beat those guys is if we score more points than they do.
Francis and Mobley have been playing so well during the streak that they have to be due for some poor performances, at least shooting wise. If Yao doesn't figure out what's wrong with his touch, I think the next week is going to be tough.
Yao Ming hasn't been making his usual shots! Something has to be wrong...I hope he can find out what's wrong. And I hope Steve and Cuttino continue to do fabulous. Eddie has been doing OK. I hope he can shoot straight against San Antonio. And hopefully Mo Taylor can help just a little. We need just 4 points from him. James Posey has been doing a great job! He is now shooting 3's. He usually makes them or...airball. I think he was a great addition.
http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/poll/ 10. Rockets (11) 20-15 - If they can go 3-3 in next two weeks (Celtics, Suns, Lakers, Spurs, Mavs, Pistons), they'll be very happy.
If the Rockets win tomorrow I'm sure they will be "rocketed" pass their usual #10 spot on all the Power Rankings.
