I'm starting this thread because I wasn't sure until tonight. The Rockets are preparing a marketing push to keep him. I know, strange for a restricted free agent. I know this because the Rockets were filming a video tonight to give to D-Mo. I and others were asked to say a few things.
Maybe the Rockets are starting to figure that ignoring their RFA's and making them feel like garbage before matching their offer sheets is not the best policy. See what Kyle Lowry did to us as soon as he could sense unrestricted free agency looming. Relationships do matter.
I bet the pitch will be we will take care of you, don't pull a Parsons, wait til we sign other FAs with our cap space.
I'm glad this is the case and it's a good move to make Dmo feel wanted after the voided trade. Players with his size and skill set a rare. I'm excited to see what Mike D can do with him.
As long as his back is fine..... Does the promotional video mean we want him to sign up quick so we can move on to signing someone else? I anticipate we won't be sitting back letting the market determine his value
Does this men that Morey will not let the market set the price and try to get him signed without matching another teams offer sheet? I think kthey went that route with Scola, if memory serves.
