Rockets have too many guards

Sura, Alston, Wesley, Barry, Head, DA, Norris, seven guards. Granted T-mac will take most time at SF, but if he goes down, rockets have major problems. I would love to have someone like Bonzy Wells on the roster. R. Bowen plays hard but some of his shots are just beyond words. Most guys on this board can shoot better than him. Graham is the right combo SG/SF but we need someone higher caliber. I hope once we get rid of Moochie and other bad contracts after this season we can pick up someone better. Any MLE level forward will do wonders to this team, James Posey comes to mind.

At the same time, back courts also needs update since most teams have better back courts, next game againest Golden State we can only hope our back court don't get dominated by Davis and JR. If we have a decent SF, then Mcgrady can play some 2-guard and improve the back court. I still have hopes Alston will perform down the road though.

Correction: Rockets have too many combo guards and have too little pure point guards.

You speak some truth, but how many active guards do we have right now?

Since Sura, Alston, Barry, and Norris won't see PT anytime soon, I think we're okay.

I agree w/ your statement on Bowen, the guy is a liability every time he is on the court. He plays decent defense but his shooting is ridiculous.

I can't think of one winning team that has a player like Ryan Bowen starting.

I guess the least I am hoping for is someone other than Bowen to start. Don't know if Graham can do that. He is a little short but bulky, athletic too.

The Rockets have too many guards that have not performed well.

Alston should do well as a pg, but he is lacking the catch and shoot, he actually shoots better off the dribble.

The Rockets have too many players not named McGrady or Yao.

First thing I do with the roster in a NBA2k6 franchise is clear out the glut. Me current team was made like this

    Bob Sura, J-HO, and Wesley
    for
    Tim Thomas 13mil expiring
    Mike Sweetney
    1st rounder this year

    Derek Anderson
    for
    Josh Smith

    Yao, Deke
    Swift, Sweetney, Baxter
Tim Thomas(13mil expiring), Josh Smith, Ryan
    TMAC, JB, Dion Glover
    Alston, Head, JB

I like it that way, killin teams

I don't think your correct here cause Tmac plays SF and Anderson at 6'5 and Barry at 6'5 can play SF if need be. Problem is until Alston and Barry get back Healthy all we have in the backcourt is Head,Anderson,WEsley. I hope Wesley doesn't tire out playing so many mins. Go Rockets!!!

Height doesnt mean anything. To be a SF, a person should be able to Post-up or have great 1 on 1 ability, or at least can dunk once a while in game.
Consider that, we aint got SF except mac man.

Too many guards, but too few that have quality.

We need a guy who can consistently bury the 3 and stop dribble penetration. We don't have a guy like that right now. Barry lacks quickness and can't play enough minutes. DA...ermm...I had hopes for him, but he's been wildly erratic.
