Not long ago we had a First Quarter Report Card poll.

Results from the first quarter poll:

    Voters: 367

    A ~ 1.63%
    B ~ 31.88%
    C ~ 47.96%
    D ~ 6.81%
    E ~ 1.36%
    Fail ~ 10.35%

Suddenly we've passed the first trimester of the season and we've won five games in a row

New poll today: How do you think the TEAM AS A WHOLE did in the first trimester?

I gave a C last time, because Rockets were just meeting my expectations. I'll bump it up to B, because they've started to exceed it, but its still early. If they are noticeably better 1 month from now, then I'll bump it up once more to an A.

I think it's a terrible idea to post this barely 30 minutes after a close game has ended in the Rockets' favor.

But trying to be objective here, I think the Rockets have performed above average but not excellent. So a B. But I understand many fans will give them an A because we're fresh off a 5-game winning streak. But we've had some losing streaks as well.

I went with an A, they are performing beyond's most expectations. The team is still relatively new with one another are very young. Add to that fact that they been blowing out teams (PLAYOFF TEAMS) and even winning an ugly one like tonight.

Seriously, is there really a country in the world that uses "E" as a grade, and a grade that's not failing?

We're about where I figured we'd be. I'm not buying the we're the "youngest team" business as an excuse. I think we have a ton of talent and our guys play hard. I'm not impressed by the coaching at all though.

If this poll is done 3 days from now, after 2 losses to the Spurs and the Thunder, I'd still give them an A.

If they somehow manage to split those games, then they should be A++.

Sorry... You probably made the same complaint last time too, but since I did that last time, I have to be consistent :p

If I'm correct, "E" isn't an academic grade, but a representation of conduct within the school. Well, at least now a days it is.

But anyway, I gave them an A. As a TEAM, they are performing past expectations, and pass their typical performance at the start.

To be 16-12, with a slightly tougher than average schedule, and the youngest average age of any roster in the league, is a magnificent feat. Giving the Rockets anything but an A would at this point be very silly.

I haven't felt about this team this way since the 2nd round Lakers playoff series.

Had to give them an 'A'.

Youngest roster, least experienced, 13 new players, Harden added 2 nights before the start of the regular season, Coach taking leave of absence right in the middle of the regular season for 3 weeks... and they're 16-12, solidly with the 6th seed when a lot of analysts had them slotted as a 35 win team.

That's pretty darn good by any measure.

from what i see, it's a fail, we are trying to rebuild and get a pick, if after january we are still several games above 50%, I'd like to see them go into the playoff, if not, just play but please don't hover around 50% and get the 14th pick....

A is for Asik! Just had two monster games on the boards against two of the top rebounders in the league, Noah and Love.

    C.

As a group they are far from consistent other then Harden's scoring and Asik's rebounding. We are on a great run so far but, the team has the talent to be better both offensively and defensively. A few more wins (especially a few more over top quality teams) over the .500 mark and they might be a B- but as of this moment, I give a C+.

I cannot read this thread title without wondering how and why the Rockets got pregnant.
