I recently moved to Seattle from Houston and was wondering if there are any people on this board who live in Seattle that may want to start meeting up at a sports bars and watch the playoff series. It would be cool to see some fellow Rockets fans in this part of the country!
hey, friend, Portland is only miles away from Seattle, you can drive there to watch Game 1 and 2 in the Rose Garden.
It was one of the great rivalries in basketball. I hated the Sonics but it was a good rivalry. I never imagined they would lose their team for sure. It looks like there are a lot of Portland fans out here. I've seen some commercials airing on Seattle TV about supporting Nate Macmillan (former Sonic) and Brandon Roy (former UW star).
..I really hope Seattle can lure a NBA team coz I' m missing Sonics... but it seems unlikely to get one...Anyway...I am living in Seattle..and I will root for Rockets..let's go rox!!!~
I live in North Seattle/Lake City area. I'm not going to be around tomorrow night, but maybe we'll have to meet up with some others sometime soon.
Cool. Thanks for responding. Hopefully we can get a good group together and all meet up and get out of the 1st round!
H-TOWN & anyone else, I'm going to be with my wife at the Northgate RAM Friday night for Game 3...any Seattle fans in the area would be welcome to join... Maybe I'll see you there.
I was about to post the same answer. However, based on previous posts of his, it sounds like Scribo may have too much on his plate to meet up with you to watch the game . .
Yeah, I'm fairly certain Scribo is Jack Bauer. My investigation isn't 100% complete yet, but I think I'm getting pretty close, because I swear I just heard someone yell "THERE ISN'T ENOUGH TIME!!"
I will be easy to spot, I will be the one wearing a Rockets hat heckling any Portland fans at the bar.
Any Rockets fans in Portland? Not too fun being the lone Rockets fans amongst diehard Blazer fans. Understandable though, other than a AAA baseball team and soccer (puke), basketball is all we have.
ive got work fri. maybe next game. a few of us went to jillians on south lake union last night. almost got into a fight when some blazer fans there started cheering when deke went down. i dont think we will be going back.
I'm in Fremont and would love to get together to catch a game. However, it's tough for us to go out in the evening since we have a 17 month old daughter. Definitely keep me posted if y'all are meeting up. We might be able to swing babysitting for a game.
