This cant be more important than JVG being ranked # 86 on most ugly list! :p ;)

Thank god. I'm glad. We need some continuity and the kind of BB knowledge Lindsey has, considering the shocking hire by Les. Congratulations to Dennis!

I thought the hiring of Morey was signal that Lindsey's influence with the organization was being phased out?

I'm pretty sure the Chronicle reported this 2 weeks ago.

Amen. This was a prerequesite to my alleged continued sanity. :)

Docgundy, Feigen reported about two weeks ago that a deal had been reached for Lindsey to stay. Now that the deal is signed I surmise there are unusual clauses: "If you get an offer to be a GM we'll be very proud and happy for you and let you out of your contract. However if you should you come to decide that all of your superiors are dumbasses and want to leave then you're relatively screwed."

    I'm happy. Honest.

If DL's influence is so strong then this is a lousy (re)hire.
    If DL's influence isn't so strong then this is a ho-hum (re)hire.

Lindsey isn't that great IMO. The Rockets have been a bad drafting team for a while now and thats where Lindsey makes his impact.

    Ah.

Happy with Morey's hiring and CD's imminent exit.
Happy with JVG and his lack of responsibility for having only 2 to 3 real NBA players on our roster next year.
Happy that Morey and JVG seems like a marriage made in hell.
Happy that JVG says he never pays attention to the draft, and that everyone admits statistical analysis is fairly useless in attempting to translate collegiate numbers into NBA productivity.

We might as well just wait for JVG to resign, for Les to sell the team, and for Morey to not be sure what the hell just happened to his dreams.

"Off with their heads" is fine with me now. Everyone. I want CD on a beach sipping Mai Tai's. I want JVG and Morey to mesh hand in glove. And I want Morey to blow Les away with the selling price he brokered for this franchise.

But right now Lindsey, Yao and T-Mac are the only guys I think I can emotionally hold onto in the entire organization.

Betcha anything Lindsey has an escape clause, T-Mac will do what he wants (if healthy) and Yao's going to get really pissed off a couple of years from now.

Who cares? Off with their heads, and let the good times roll.

A little pessimistic, but a nice post. Until he proves otherwise, the name of Morey doesn't instill confidence within me.
