Sorry for having to start a new thread for this, but they will talk about the Rockets briefly after this break. BTW, the show is repeated on ESPN NEWS at 5pm, in case you miss this one. Just the heads up
This whole thing really is surreal. I can't remember the last time a team went from dog to contender so quickly during a season. It's like every time I turn my television on, they're talking about Houston's resurgence. We didn't even get this much praise during the title years.
That resurgence is about to be over with Strickland replacing Sura in the lineup. It was fun while it lasted, though.
2 guys left (Mariotti vs. Adande) and the question was who will have a better 2nd half the Sonics or the Rockets. Mariotti said Rockets because the Sonics too many shoot 3’s and don’t rebound. Don’t remember what Adande said...
I doubt even with Strickland starting that he gets more than 25 minutes in the game....they will be using Barry and Wesley more than anything.
Here is recap... Adande: Sonics will have better second half, don't be fooled by their success in the first half as temporary, they have Fortson in the middle who is strong and physical, and Luke Ridnaur playing very well. Mariotti: Come on! It is Houston. Seattle is living off 3-pointers. Seattle has 20 of next 32 against winning teams here. Look at McGrady's improvement and Yao Ming's improvement. It is going to be the Rockets. Realli: You won me over there Mariotti, point for you
why is Strickland starting?? Bobby getting rest or something?? (wow, I really feel dumb for even having to ask)
