It seems to me that the Rockets could be interested in Anthony Mason. The key words there being could be.

We are in need of a legitamite power forward. Mason is all about power. I can't think of a more talented guy, with his size, shooting ability (being blessed with being left handed.

This guy is in the physicallity range of Shaq or Kevin Willis.

Question: If we get Anthony Mason do we have to rename the Compaq Center the "Masonic Lodge". Ok, so I'm a dork.

Could there a scenario where we obtain him by trade, as I think the Bucks are offering Tim Thomas. What could we offer? Would he fit? Would he complement Francis and Cato for the future? All are questions I now pose to you my Clutch brethren.

You know, that's a great idea "brother" C.S. Anthony Mason has to be one of the most powerful power forwards in the business, definately up there with Shaq and Willis. He can shoot, is an excellent rebounder (offensive in particular), and he is extremely tenacious on "D" which is what the Rox need most....tough "D". I think he would be perfect for this ball club, however, do you think Charlotte will take the "Wiz" (he actually should be called the "Fizz"!) and Massenburg for him?! I'm not sure, but it certainly would be worth a try!!

If Mason does come aboard I think re-naming the Compaq Center to the Masonic Lodge is an excellent idea. That way they can wear monkish robes instead of those god-awful uniforms their wearing now!! A damn sight better if you ask me!

cs, great idea... if the rockets want to compete, they'll need a strong veteran like mason. otherwise, we can keep playing this ncaa stuff, which is fun to watch, but doesn't win many trophies.

If they are really offering Tim Thomas, I don't see how Massenburg and Williams are exactly equal but if that got the job done, I would be more than excited. I think we would have to offer a 1rst round pick (gulp) to get it done. Ohh and can you say Sam Mack possibly.

    What is his salary anyway?

Williams? Massenburg? two guys on a 8-17 team that couldn't find their way off the bench with freaking seeing-eye dogs? For Mason?

Whatever you guys are on, i want some.

    CS,

To answer your question about Mason's contract:

Mason has the same contract as Walt. You couldn't tack any other players to "sweeten" the deal unless the Hornets do.

    Good luck with this rumor.

I know to some degree this argument is absurd, but I dare to dream. How about Mack, Rogers, Walt and then they throw in some nobody?

    What does Rogers make anyway?

The Hornets have fielded offers, but have cooled, since Mace's play has picked up.

Mason is the type of talent I would like to have as a power forward. However, he is not the type of "people" the Rockets usually like or that I like either. He is somewhat of a bad guy right?

Anyway, I want to keep Rogers. Walt and whatever else yall are offering in this post, well, I agree with JR, yall must be on something.
