Hey guys, I of course am a newbie and its great to take part in this awesome forum with all you fellow rockets fans. I am trying to figure out why after the realese of the new logo almost a month ago we still dont have a newly desinged Rockets.com. They are still sporting the old logo everywhere, almost as if they want us to remember how crappy the logo is so we will finally love the change no matter how great or crappy the new logo is. You would think Rockets.com would have been chnaged by now... But it also seems like you guys have been saying that they have yet to come to a consesnus on the color red that they are using. for example ESPN.com has our new logo but the red they used is very pink.... and the new shirts that are out are a very nice bright red from the old days and some shirts have a logo that is a deep blood red I dont know why their website still shows the old logo on its main home page... youd think they would woant their new insignia everywhere. ANy thought or info to why theyre taking so long???
my assumption is that the new uniform is incorporated into the design of the website. Since the new uni's have not been released yet, the update on the webpage is on hold. Just my theory
I can tell you that there is one person at the Rockets responsible for Rockets.com, HoustonComets.com and updating HoustonToyotaCenter.com. He also does all of the video you see on the site and coordinates most of the internet interviews, diaries, etc. He's a busy guy. Cut him some slack.
We've had the re-designed site up at the league for a little while now ... we're just waiting for it to get processed and appear. It should be up any day now. We'd have been happy if the process worked faster as well, though. (All the team sites are hosted by the league, so all the changes have to go through them. Big changes like this just take a little more time.) Tim
