great read. I really feel bad for Yao seeing China lose against Lit. but I am happy for him as well it was a joy to see him play again over the past few days. I cant wait for the season to start to watch him play again. he seems to be more of a leader now than ever.
Fritz, you have a gift. Very nice job on the article. I'm with Yoyo, I am sad that Yao had to lose but I am glad he's ready to get started for the season.
First, Yao needs some much needed rest from the hype and pressure to the Olympics in Beijing. Second, Yaos gotta start thinking ahead to the upcoming season with the rockets. We have a great chance to really do something special this year with the addition of Ron, but Yao will have to play a huge roll for that to happen. Get some rest big fella and lets make this year a year to remember.
Does anyone else think the Rocket's should entertain the idea of of trading Yao after this season if he decides to continue playing for the Chinese team during the off season? I know he has to play during an Olympic year but he plays every summer. I'm just throwing it out there.
les will lose too much money and exposure. yao is not gonna pull #1 draft picks with his injury woes the past 3 years anyways.
Not if he decides to, which it appears he will but if he has another season ending injury they surely have to consider it.
les is a great owner and he will do w.e for the betterment of the team. People forget that its not only Morey, but Les too.
The question, though, is if Yao has another season ending injury, what useful player can the Rockets possibly get for him to improve the team? It would seem that his trade value would take a dip if he doesn't stay healthy and you wouldn't get much in return.
