I love the way the defense gets credit when the offense simply goes cold. The Mavs shoot a lot of jumpers. For a while they were all going in. Then they didn't. We kept them from getting to the basket, which is great, but if their shooting had stayed hot, we would have lost. It's just too much for a team to expect to stay that hot from the late 2nd quarter all the way through the 4th.
Will, Yes, but when the two stars from a high-octane hot-shooting team only take a combined 6 shots in the 4th Q of a tight game, that in itself is something for which to congratulate the defense.
