HAHAHA, I sent in the second question http://www.nba.com/rockets/fans/Q__A_With_Scott_Padgett-140265-822.html Q & A With Scott Padgett What was your favorite game to play in your college basketball? Who was your opponent? --Bo, Houston, TX My favorite college game was the 1998 National Championship game against the University of Utah. I had 17 points and 6 rebounds. We came back from the biggest halftime deficit ever to win the championship. Are you really called "Scotty the Body" by your teammates? -David, Houston,TX Yes, the guys on the team call me Scotty The Body. Some of the guys just call me Body. I don't know why, but Tyronn Lue started calling me the nickname early in the season and it spread to the rest of the guys. You came from a Utah organization that allowed you a little more court time than what the situation in the Rockets allows currently. How does a player like you who has such a heart for the game deal with the frustuations of sometimes not playing as much as you'd expect? --James, Houston, TX As a player whether you're playing 5 minutes or 35, you always want more. Whether it's more time, more rebounds, more points, or whatever. If you didn't want more, what would motivate you to get better? That is the problem sometimes with professional sports players, they get satisfied and stop striving to get better. I just try to stay ready at all times because you never know when your opportunity will come. I am just wondering about three point attempts per game. Should the Rockets takes more three pointers? --Amrish, Houston, TX I think our first objective every time down the court should be to get the ball into Yao and play off of him. He has a huge advantage every night and we should exploit that. Having said that I think we have a very good three-point shooting team. We have four guys shooting over 40% on the season (John Barry, David Wesley, Mike James and myself) so if we get the ball to Yao or Tracy and they draw double teams, I think we can get some very good looks from 3-point range. The team seems to be playing more consistent this year than last year. In your opinion, what has been the difference in the way the team has played this year than last year? --Bill, Katy, TX I think the pieces of our team fit better with our system. I think everyone knows their individual roles and we play better as a team. Thank you for sending me your questions! I love to hear from the fans, so keep the comments and questions coming! -Scott Padgett
I don't know why we got Scott Padgett..but he's been great. He's smart and creates stuff..he can execute..he can shoot the 3. He knows how to play basketball. He has knocked down some big shots this year. It's good that he is always ready to play even if he only plays a few minutes or 30 minutes. He always seems to be a positive on the court just like the rest of our bench players lol nice question
