HOUSTON - For nearly two decades, the legend of Dikembe Mutombo grew both on the court and off. Now, as Mutombo enters his first year of retirement from the NBA, Fox Sports Houston catches up with the four-time Defensive Player of the Year............... http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/dikembe_mutombo_be_featured_on_2009_11_10.html
didnt see the article yet but thanks for finding it anything Deke does is awesome but i just saw the pic in your sig from durvasa and I lol'ed nice
My heart skipped a beat I thought it was going to be about Deke coming back from retirement to play on the Rockets
I try my best to find updates/articles to post on clutchfans so people who are too lazy to go to Rockets.com or just stay on clutchfans all the time
Same here. How awesome would it be if he did. I could totally see him contributing too. He could still probably avg close to 10 boards and 2 blocks if given the minutes.
I forgot to add that just seeing the sight of Mutumbo on our bench cheering us on and standing up to greet the players during timeouts gave me a great sense of comfort. He was like the ultimate insurance policy to Yao and perfect person to have around for chemistry and younger player development. I think seeing him go down last season against the Blazers during the playoffs was one of the saddest moments of 2009 and Rockets history.
