    I am a little confused. It's not nice to say that, especially he is asking the Americans to buy that cake for charity in China.

    But Yao can say whatever he wants and nobody will be offended.

    he wasnt calling it garbage. he said something like "in chinese its called xxxx, which means garbage. but not this one". i think it was suppose to be some kind of joke.

    Maybe I read too much into it.

    Well, ignore what I say, and go buy some cakes.

    Man some people are dense.. the fruitcake thing is a joke. Obviously nobody likes getting fruitcakes as a gift. Yao's saying that instead of buying a silly fruitcake, you use the same amount of money to donate to charity. You're not really buying a freakin fruitcake for them...
