They are proposing Jock Landale and some picks potentially for time lord. Thoughts?

I like it. Jock has been useless.

Wouldn't add more than a second round pick though, given Timelord's injury history.

He has another year on his deal at value money; he’s playing well and looks healthy. I’m sure there is a lot of interest.

For Landale, and 2nds that’s fine. My thing is, where are the minutes coming from? Adams is finally playing well, and Bari will be back. Those two can handle the backup center minutes. This move makes a lot more sense if we are moving on from Adams at the end of the season. But regardless, Jock isn’t really doing anything for us and Time Lord does provide rim protection that we don’t have on the roster. I doubt we’ll end up being Portland’s best offer, but he’s definitely worth Jock and 2nds.

So what are we doing with Adams? 3 centers makes no sense.

What in the f*ck is a “Time Lord?” That’s still one of the worst nicknames of all time. Nobody has called him that in like 5 years anyways, he’s just Robert Williams III these days.

3 centers is fine. Adams is still out hurt or recovering every few games it seems. And on those days when Sengun sucks ass like the did yesterday, it's nice to have another playable center, when healthy lol. Jock certainly wasn't it...

Lob Threat.... So Sengun to the bench confirmed?:p

Ok seriously, I wouldn't mind having him as a back up. But I am afraid of his injury history. So if it is just Jock and a 2nd I am in fvour, But I would not give up any real asset.

God I hope his way-improved FT% and 3PT% are real because otherwise no thank you. He's 14 of 15 on FT's and 1 of 3's on 3's for this season.

I would make the tough decision of moving Adams out though. We don't need to be spending that much money at backup C for 16-18 minutes. We certainly can't afford to start another non-shooter (at least a couple of years away from a respectable jumper). We have to choose between Adams' leadership and Williams' athleticism.

It's a good 2 year gamble on his jumper and health at $12m per season for just 2 seasons? I guess he and Adams can both use the rest on back to backs and tougher parts of the schedule? Trying to visualize how he fits in if Adams is here.

I really just want shooting though because I know we can get another 3-4 points out of Amen/Green against good teams.

Time Lord showed some PF ability when he was with Udoka before.

Can he and Alpi play together Mobley/Allen style?

Would be awesome if he could back up both the 4 and the 5 spots. But the injury history...

I like this for the Rockets. Timelord's game fits the Rockets needs of lob threat and rim protector. Coaches can gameplan matchups to see who is backup center while Adams and Williams both work on their health.

Hopefully the Rockets are looking at Thybulle too as an elite perimeter defender. That would make Brooks more expendable as a trade asset.

Hou out: Jock Landale, Jae'sean Tate, Aaron Holiday or Jeff Green, 2025 SRP, 2026 SRP

Por out: Robert Williams III, Matisse Thybulle

Unlike Adams, I do think Time Lord can play some next to Sengun. Assuming health, I really like the idea of a Sengun / Smith / Time Lord rotation.
