    Project BIG Star

Dec. 18 - The Rockets have been so busy working on winning games, that they haven't had time to make commercials. Sixth Man, we need your help! Enter Project BIG Star and send in your ideas or videos for a Rockets commercial. And if we like it, we'll make it! There's no cashola involved but hey, you've got to admit, you'll earn BIG time bragging rights. Click here to send us your idea now.

As you know, at the Rockets, basketball is our full-time passion. It doesn't leave much time to make commercials.

So Yao and I are hoping that you can Be BIG and help us out. Send us your idea by completing the form below and clicking the "Submit" button. We just might make it and show it on TV!

Who knows, you might just become a BIG star.

    I can hear it now...

"The Rockets are so lazy they want us to do their work for them!"

Seems like to me they are tryin to get their fanbase to take a personal interest by encouraging them to be a part of the marketing department.
Hey Tim, Im no too busy to come up with ideas...and my salary demands are reasonable...:D

If you watch that commercial carefully, Steve starts doing a fancy dribble, and a few seconds later, he turns the ball over.

Seriously, watch for it during tonight's game.

So, if we don't get any money for this, how do we become a "big star"? If I contribute ideas (I have some), will the commercial put my name on there as being its creator, writer, or director?

    Hmmm.....

"The Rockets have been so busy working on winning games, that they haven't had time to make commercials."

    Interesting...

Droxford, I don't speak for the Rockets but if there is no cashola for the winner, they should really make a huge effort to give the winner alot of random stuff.

Local media attention and recognition during a game, free tickets for life, free promotional giveaways, free parking space, free NBA League Pass, free sample of each Rockets merchandise that goes out to the masses, free reigns to another commercial project .

That would make up for the lack of $$$ wouldn't it... Would you feel like a big star then?

I hereby assign to the Houston Rockets all right, title and interest in and any and all entries, information, or other materials in any form or media (collectively “Entry Materials”) that I submit. I understand and agree that the Houston Rockets in perpetuity will own the exclusive right, but will be under no obligation, to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, perform, display, distribute, transfer, license or otherwise exploit, commercially or otherwise, my Entry Materials throughout the world, in any media now existing or hereafter developed, without compensation.<------ who would agree to this?

if its my idea, and i win i should get some compensation

FREE tickets for life?!?!? you're teasing. That would certainly be encouraging, but there's nothing that says they'll actually deliver anything.

Say, weren't you hired on as their new graphics guy? How's the pay? I was considerint going for that position (I'm great with digital graphics, but never really considered it 'cause I haven't wanted to guide my career towards that: don't feel good about its pay.)

No, I was not hired as their new graphics guy. Maybe you were thinking of the Dave guy who did those wallpaper images.

I was just making up a nice compensation package that did not include any Benjamin Franklins. Good luck!

Oops, Jeff Gundy writing on behalf of ron413. That is very, very strange:) I guess my cover is blown. Oh well, nobody believed me anyways the few times I tried to play the lets say something in riddles as Jeff Van Gundy game.
