Yea and 1/2 this board called me crazy when I said Rockets are top 2 teams when Yao gets back (and if healthy). Ok we are 3 on this but this is ESPN when do the Rockets ever get ANY CRED on ESPN, honestly.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/powerranking

1 (1) Mavericks 31-8 As if a 31-4 record since that 0-4 start isn't gaudy enough, check this out: Dirk is shooting .525 and averaging 30.8 ppg since switching back to the leather ball.

2 (2) Suns 28-8 What's wilder? Suns going 27-3 since that 1-5 start? Or Suns establishing a 64-18 pace and still trailing Mavs by 1 ½ games for the league's best record?

3 (5) Rockets 25-13 OK, OK. If you're going to exclude the game in which Yao played just six minutes and got hurt, Rockets have only two Ls (in 11 games) without him, not three.

Yea but seriously the Mavs and Suns are on Frantic paces they have to go into slump at some point it just HAS TO HAPPEN (no their beginning 0-4, 1-5 wasnt enough :)).

But they would never entertain the idea to exclude the clipper game in Yao's personal stats, would they?

I dunno about that. I rather liked flying under the radar and unexpectedly beating teams that thought we were severely undermanned. Now they'll start taking us a bit more seriously (I don't care what you rational posters say, NBA players peruse these power ranking articles in their off time, dammit).

Perfect.

Up to #3 just in time to lose to #1 and #2 on back to back nights. Enjoy it while it lasts, boys.

all well and good, but when you're winning, you're going to get the props. i'd rather they keep winning and eventually become target #1, than they start losing and become some 'potential' team again. if they can step up to the challenge, we can be sure of the strength of their character, and that's gonna be huge come playoff time.

Man, it must suck, as a visiting team, to look at your schedule and see that you have 3 games in a row in Texas.... Spurs, Mavs, Rockets... BAM!!

the best part is, we all though our season was over when yao went out!

Dallas #1, no question,
Rockets, #2, no way.

I thinks we are 5 or 6, with Yao we can be top 4.

Lol, I hope we beat Mavs or Suns so we can stick it up in the top 5.

I thought 5 on NBA.com was good, damn #3 by ESPfreakingN is unbelievable. They don't even broadcast our games.

i want to finish 5th. so we can take care of utah in the first round. i mean 3rd wouldn't be bad but i'd rather play utah than the lakers. in playoffs one player can win it all.

Who knows where the lakers and Utah end up. Lets just win as many games as we can and hope for the best.

What are you talking about? Did you not watch the Denver game shown on ESPN? There were hundreds of threads here just a few days ago complaining about Bill Walton after that game.
